That's alot of numbers! But it sounds like you've got the best plan for you. And the meals you have in the parks are good ones. And the snack eating sounds great!
So excited for you that your going back home. Love your dining plans. We would love to hear your kids to do list for snacks.
stay tuned!

thanks - I think we have the best of both worlds - decent budget, with some fun stuff thrown in.

Touring: Now that we have a kind of rough idea of where we'll be because of our ADRs, I can think about the "fun" The fact that Touring Plans has predicted a "10" crowd level for most of our stay, deciding which park for which day really won't matter . This is especially true if no one but me and the kids want to be at the park for opening. Actually, Dh agreed to be up early for our day at DHS, otherwise there'll be slim chance for some Toy Story Midway Mania action. I gave the boys a 2012 Birnmaum's Guide to WDW for Kids and a pack of post-it notes and let them have at it . I told them it was going to be crowded, so pick the things they really want. It was interesting what they came up with. I thought they might have chosen every single ride, but they seem to have more eclectic choices.
Downtown Disney seems to be the highlight of the trip - their #1 choices are Disney Quest and Ridemakerz, and they want to do some shopping. In MK, they want to visit Liberty Square for 2 firsts: Haunted Mansion and the Hall of Presidents (really.) Then Adventureland for the Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse (seriously.) In Frontierland, they want to visit Tom Sawyer Island, the Shootin' Arcade is a must, then of course, BTMRR and Splash Mountain. Tomorrowland - Astro Orbiter was requested by both. They're still talking about what a dud Tomorrowland Speedway was last time I am so happy to have pictures to show Titus how much fun he had driving when he was 4... He really thought he was driving! The only request for Fantasyland is for the new cotton candy cupcakes at the new Big Top Souvenirs...(They saw them just today .) Titus requests riding the WDW Railroad - I'm serious.
From the Mouse Chat podcast facebook page:
At Epcot: Spaceship Earth, Universe of Energy, Agent P, Sum of All Thrills, and "just walk around China and Italy." That's a direct quote. And pretty much every snack they drool over in the mini-guide to snacks from Disney Food Blog . At DHS: Rockin' Roller Coaster, TSMM, the Backlot Tour, Indiana Jones Stunt show, and The Magic of Disney Animation. Titus wants to try to get in the Jedi Academy. Oh yeah, the Muppets 3D show. And the Butterfinger cupcake... At AK: I was told that if they did nothing else, could we PLEASE ride Kali River Rapids? They missed it twice and they REALLY want to catch it. They'd like to ride Primeval Whirl and Expedition Everest, and maybe see FOTLK, but please Mom, please can we ride Kali River Rapids?!
I thought about my own wants, but I think this time, I'll let the kids lead the way. MiL won't care one way or the other what we do - she'll enjoy herself no matter what we do. I'm still going to ask her, just in case. Dh just wants the freedom to sleep in and not have to run around all the time. And Mickey's Philharmagic
The boys seem to have given their selections a lot of thought and came up with some great choices! I can see that snacking is going to be a priority. I'd missed the food blog entry about the new FL snacks-- sugar overload! I'd forgotten that this is a reunion trip and am now very interested in how you'll fit in meeting up with family!

As I said before, this whole thing was talked about 3 years ago. Ever since then, I've been trying to keep in contact with folks, reminding them about discounts and to start thinking where to stay, tips on saving for a trip to WDW, etc. Let's just say that in person, you can't get us to shut up Our get togethers can be heard by the whole neighborhood! But trying to communicate with my family by Facebook, email or even snail mail is very hard. We live in Maryland, New Mexico, North Carolina, and Florida, but we aren't the kind of family that gets together often or talks that much ouside of holidays and the like. I get just a wee bit jealous when I hear about reunions that have budgets, activities, and matching tee shirts, lol. It's all good, but it made it really hard to plan this family vacation. I can always count on my two sisters to be down for whatever, but it's from everyone else I couldn't get to give any information.
I know not everyone can afford to stay on Disney property , so I sent/mailed out information on places to stay in Orlando that could suit a variety of budgets and family sizes well in advance. I heard nothing back, so I just figured, either they would take care of lodging on their own or they weren't able to go. I already knew one sister would be staying at The Wyndham Bonnet Creek resort - her friend owns a time share there. They would be there with my niece and her baby. My other sister and her son will be staying at the Holiday Inn by DTD. Finally, this year out of the blue, I got a message from my cousin in NC . They got a rental in Emerald Island - hey! 3 miles from Kidani! Two of my other cousins have their own time shares near WDW. My other cousins would come up from south Florida. I was so happy that it was starting to come together ! We would be the only family staying on property which was a bummer, okay wrong word, you know what I mean . Just for kicks, I looked into the Grand Villa so more people could stay at Kidani, but, ummm, yeah . We might have been able to swing it but we're seriously thinking about a cruise next year...
I've been trying to talk to folks about things we can do together, but so far, I haven't heard anything. My niece and I have come up with some ideas for meets during the week. I have no idea when or where (or even if) people are going to be in the parks. I know my sisters will be there a day ahead of us and they want to go to Universal and SeaWorld before we get there. We have ADRs, so that's our only constraint. Others have said that they were going to cook Thanksgiving dinner at their vacay home, but Dh, me and my sisters want to eat out- that's why we have a rez at The Biergarten for holiday dinner. We'll be there 7 days but we only have park tickets for 5 days. Maybe we can take a cab over there and visit, or folks can meet us at our resorts.
Possible fun family meets: Ghirardelli Ice Cream Social (Shopping, then get together to show off goodies) Tower of Terror Meet (Who can take the best ride photo?) Big Top Cupcake Sampler (get several different cupcakes in Fantasyland and everyone gets to try some) Football Splash (swimming and some Thanksgiving day football at one of the homes) Long Kiss Goodnight Meet (everyone gets together for fireworks, Geena Davis and Samuel Jackson probably won't make it) Osborne Family Lights Walk (I think this will be new for all of us) Jambo Safari Meet (people join us at AKL for some relaxing animal watching on the savannah)
