Great start. We'll be there Dec 1-8th, although I have no idea of my planning since it's a last minute trip. I plan on jotting down where all the fellow Passporters might be and hopefully get to run into and meet at least of few.
It must be a little bit hard putting the excitement of Africa on the back burner, but I'm sure you'll run into some CMs who are from there that will be excited that you're going to visit their homeland.
Do you know the nights out I usually enjoy the most are those where i am lukewarm about going for whatever reason. So hopefully the same applies to holidays and this one will be the best WDW ever.

Welcome, Marci!

Hope we do run into each other. If you want to arrange a definite meet when your plans get more settled, PM me. I'll have my laptop with me. I do look forward to conversations with South African CMs!

Hope you do get to go to Africa, Cam. I'm thrilled that this long-time dream is coming true.

In a way, I'm a bit like that and I'm sure some of mine is to do with the fact it's been planned so long, I just can't believe it's almost here now!
I'm sure we'll both feel the excitement returning as we head for the airport!

I hope that does hold true for me. It's often true that when you're least expecting magic is when it happens.
Second, I hope to go see some veterinary procedures this time too. Do they have them every single day? I'd be using one day of admission just to go to AK in the morning and I'd be pretty aggravated if I picked a day that is their "off" day or something. I never get to see them when I travel with my DBF because we have to rush to get FPs for EE or KS. So this had always been on my Disney bucket list!

They have procedures 7 days-a-week in the mornings. Now, having said that, there are VERY RARE days that there are no on-view procedures due to emergencies elsewhere in the park. In all my years of daily viewing there have only been 2 missed days, so you should be ok. (I noticed that you arrive on the day I leave-- not fair!)

Aw Laurie I just spotted this .... Great start and can't wait to read all about your trip and maybe even see you at some point! Sounds like your trip report will be right up my street, I love animals. I think there is so much to AK a lot of people miss and lots I'm yet to explore.

Hi Laurie!
I'm looking forward to hearing about your mornings at the Animal Kingdom. I volunteer in the petting zoo at the zoo here in Seattle and have a fond affection for the animals, so I would love to learn all that you feel like sharing!
I'm also looking forward to your South Africa trip report!
Wow - South Africa in March. I can see why you may be having a little bit of a hard time getting psyched for WDW, but I'm sure the excitement will build as you arrive at the Magic Gate.

I'll see you at the DVC Merry Mixer on Dec 4th!

Welcome, Kathy. I think last year's trip was 15 days-- just keeps getting longer!

Always glad to have another animal person reading along. I spent the day at the Seattle Zoo before my DCL Alaska cruise in July and had a great time-- a very nice zoo!

I'm sure it will. I've put away all the planning info and books for Africa until after Christmas. It's too distracting!
