Great positioning! MK on one side, Bay Lake on the other and Top of the World down the hall! Perfect! I also like the pic of MD doing her homework with Space Mtn in the background.
That Villa is spectacular!!! I can see why you are the "favorite sister-in-law" Love the Lilo and Stitch cake that was made for Maddie's birthday! The view from your room must have been spectacular to watch Wishes
I was up by 8 a.m., but everyone else was very slow going. We had a 10 a.m. ADR at Tusker House, but when 9 a.m. rolled around and people just started stirring, I suddenly remembered why I didn’t make breakfast ADR’s when traveling with a big group.
We finally got out of the villa about 9:30, but after that, I stopped looking at a clock. No need to stress myself out. Of course, tons of buses arrived for everywhere but AK. When one finally arrived, we had to stop at the Poly and BB before we made it to AK.
Once off the bus, I told Thom to just go ahead and check us in. When we eventually all made it to Tusker House, Thom had checked us in and was waiting on us. Apparently it was no big deal that we were almost an hour late.
We were immediately told to head back and take our picture with Donald. When it was our turn, Amy mentioned to Donald that Jack had eaten duck the night before. That’s when Donald stormed off and had to be coaxed back into the picture. Even with all of the Donald drama, we ended up with a nice picture which was all ours thanks to Photopass Plus.
We were then led inside to pretty much the closest table to the buffet which was good since this was a bunch. It was so close to lunch that the buffet was in that in between stage where there were only a few breakfast items left. I’m more of a breakfast buffet kind of gal, so I had a hard time finding what I wanted until I discovered that all of the breakfast items were at the children’s buffet.
In between eating, we were visited by all of the characters. Everyone really got into it and we had a great time.
Once everyone was full, we headed in the direction of EE to pick up FP’s and then moved on to Dinoland. Maddie had worn her tennis shoes today to give her an extra little lift in hopes of riding PW. We measured her and it was so close that we had to have a CM reading. Sadly, it was a no go, but she was hopeful since she was so very close.
From there, we decided to ride Dinosaur since that was something that everyone could do (although Morgan was not excited by the thought of it ). Unfortunately, a CM informed us that the ride was down. Hmmm . . . now what to do?
Amy offered to take Maddie in the nearby store so that she could pick out a birthday present while the rest of us rode PW. Morgan decided to tag along with them, so it was six of us riding. Thom and I let the other four ride together and we rode with a mother and daughter pair. The mother was hee-larious and pretty much said “Oh my God!” throughout the entire ride.
After our ride, we met up with Amy and Maddie who informed us that Maddie had a brand new Perry the Platypus that they had sent to the front of the park. Amy was most impressed with Maddie’s mad shopping skills (i.e. touching every single thing in the store before deciding on a purchase ).
I took over “Maddie watch” while the rest of the group headed to EE to use their FP’s. I seriously don’t know if Maddie will ever ride EE again because she considers this time her “game time.” I bought her some tickets and she proceeded to play every single game available. She actually won at a few and had three new fluffies to show for it. She came so close to winning at the basketball game, but I kept encouraging her to try again because I loved watching the little dance she did before she threw the ball (see video below).
When she had just one ticket left, I suggested that we take a break and have a drink because I was starting to wilt from just standing in the direct sunlight. We were right at the trailer in the corner of Chester and Hester’s, so up to the window we went. I had all intentions of ordering two frozen lemonades until I spotted a Barcardi Blueberry and Lemon FAB. Well, sign me up! The only way that you could tell the two apart was that mine was in a white cup and Maddie’s was in a clear cup. I must have confirmed it five times with the CM before I handed Maddie hers.
Thankfully, someone was just vacating one of the tables with an umbrella, so we were able to sit down and enjoy our drinks in the shade. As Maddie sipped her drink, she was still intent on watching the action at the games and wondering aloud where she might spend her final ticket. About this time, Thom called and asked where we were. Apparently they had blown right past us.
He informed me that Dinosaur was back up, but I let him know that Maddie and I weren’t going anywhere for a bit. He and Mary Devall soon found us and he went off with Maddie to the game where you shoot water to use her final ticket. They didn’t win, but after watching the game for a while, I noticed that the #13 spot won a great deal. . . . hmmm . . .
Once we had finished our drinks (and mine was delicious ), we moved on to Dinosaur where we met up with the rest of the family. Morgan is terrified of this ride, but she took one for the team and agreed to go with us. We ended up with a car of our own which made for a great ride photo!
Great update! Love the group shot at Tusker House and too funny about Donald stomping off. LOL Maddie is just too funny with all her fluffies and the dance before the basketball throw was just adorable. Jill! You are working on two TR's at once, way to go! Woohoo!!
