| Sharon\'s Trip Report Day #3 Sunday – June 17: We got up early and caught the EE for MGM. Cameron and Chris got to ride the Tower of Terror and Rocking Roller coaster with no wait. While they did that, Kayla and I went on the Star Wars ride with no wait either. When they got done, we met (with the help of our trusty 2 – way radios) at the Who wants to be a Millionaire show. Since today was Fathers Day, they were calling for all Fathers to be in the hot seat. Well, just because you are in the hot seat, doesn’t mean you could go on down to play. Everyone in the audience is in on the fastest finger question. I wasn’t the fastest finger, nor was I even in the top 10. LOL. The thing about it is, is that everyone plays along with the person who is actually playing. Only, when you push the button for your correct answer, you not only have to have it correct, but in order to stay in the top 10 of scores, you have to push it the fastest too. Half the time I knew the answer but because you had to pick it so fast…I either pressed the wrong button or just totally messed up. Because after I pushed the button, I would be like “I knew that answer, why did I push that button?”. Oh well. After that, we took the bus over to the AK. We rode on the Safari first (I didn’t enjoy it as much as I have before because they didn’t space the trucks out enough.) There was a truck right in front and directly behind us. Then we went on Kali Falls….fun! And wet! But it felt good. From there we ate lunch at the Pizzairea (sp). I had the sub sandwich w/ chips and the kids had the pizzas. Very good sandwiches! We then went and waited for the bus to take us back to the TTC. While we were waiting though, at the bus stop next to us……a guy let his child pee right there on the sidewalk on one of the poles while waiting for the bus. It was disgusting and gross. I would have said something but our bus just pulled up and we had to go. Got back to the camper and went swimming. Then we had to get ready for our dinner at Ohana’s. Took the boat over to the MK and then the monorail over to the Poly and let me tell you…it took us an hour just in transportation alone. Well, I met Lisa at Ohana’s (from our boards) and her family. It was so good to put a name and face together. I felt like I knew her already! We chatted a bit and then ate our dinner and had our picture taken together (Internet buds). Ohana’s was good…..But A LOT of meat. We had on skewers, shrimp, turkey, pork and steak. Then on the turntable we had chicken wings, rice, applesauce and a few other things. I enjoyed it but Cameron and the kids thought it was way, way to much meat and not a lot of other stuff. After that, we took the monorail to the TTC to catch a bus to MGM to see Fantasmic and guess what? It started to rain and hard so we didn’t get to see it. We were bummed because out of all the times we had gone, we haven’t seen this show yet. So, we went on the great movie ride instead and by then, the park was closing. So, we caught the bus back to TTC and then to FW. What was nice about this day was that we hit the EE and by lunch time….we were back at the camper and swimming in the pool and relaxing! |

| Re: Sharon\'s Trip Report Day #3 I agree that they should space out the safari trucks a bit more. We had a great experience but have had bad luck since. I love Kali rapids. I made it into the Hot Seat on our last trip!! What an exciting thing to happen! I will tell more about it in an upcoming trip report!!! Too bad about Fantasmic!! It is a great show! We missed it this last trip due to weather as well. Oh, well there is always next time! |
