Pooh and the crew do Disney... Day 6: The Epcot Quickie and SpectroMagic The Pooh Patrol The Cast: Pooh (Theresa) 26 Eeyore (PawPaw) 59 Rabbit (Gammaw) 55 Tigger (Connor) 3 1/2 Piglet (Christopher) 2 1/2 Goofy (Will) 26 And introducing Teddie Beara(Becki)28 Part One: The Epcot Quickie We woke to the phone ringing at 6:30 AM. I was dragging since I had only been in bed about 4 hours... UGH... this was bound to be a long day! Everyone but I had showered/bathed the night before so I did the marathon shower/blow dry/make-up/clothes jump, and we headed down to the Food Court for breakfast. We all did the buffet and I had to run to the front desk to do a check out/check in since we had booked an extra night outside our package.... taking all of about 10 minutes I was back at the table in no time. At 7:20 we headed back to the room... and ended up getting side tracked at Andy's Room. I decided to leave the boys and PawPaw playing while Gammaw and I headed up to the room to load the backpack. 10 minutes later we emerged with camcorder, backpack and cellphone. We had decided to leave early for Epcot because I was determined to stop at the other All Star resorts to find Joanne the pressed pennies she had asked me to pick up for her... and with one stop... mission accomplished! Will and Becki(his sister) were suppose to be meeting us at Epcot at 8:30. We arrived about 15 minutes early to find them already there! I must add that the park crowds had been very thin all week... but today... Oh My... the line to get in was long... I am thinking this was because it was a weekend and thus a lot of locals came in to play. By 9:15 we were in the park. First stop... was there any question??? Spaceship Earth! ~A little side question... has anyone ever been on this ride when it hasn't stopped??? Everytime I have ever been on it, there has been at least one stop. We took a poll and Will and Becki both agreed with me.~ This ride was one of PawPaw's favorite rides of the trip(the other's being Splash Mountain and Rock N Rollercoaster). From there we headed to Innoventions and then over to Ice Station Cool. I let both Gammaw and PawPaw taste the "Nasty" without telling them what they were in for... I am so evil<insert Cruella laugh here> The favorite of the group? The Watermelon one... everyone but Gammaw voted for this one(she doesn't like watermelon... and she calls herself a southerner... can you believe that???). I picked up a couple of Cocacola things as Christmas presents for my cousin Josh who is a die-hard collector. And then it was off to The Living Seas. I know this place bores some people and does need to be revamped, but I love the manatees! And the boys LOVED the fish in the tunnel aquariums. I want to do the DiveQuest next trip... if I can get over the fear of dozens of people seeing me in a wetsuit!!!! LOL. On to The Land! We did the Circle of Life first... and then over to Food Rocks! Gammaw feel asleep around the time Pita Gabriel came on... it was priceless. The boys were dancing in their seats and PawPaw got a kick out of it... it was the first time Becki had seen it and she was rolling. Imagination was next of the list... we all had a blast visiting this place. We decided that we would head back to the hotel since we didn't think the boys would enjoy the World Showcase because of their age. We decided the boys needed a nap before we headed over to the MK so we headed back and Will, Becki and I walked down to the Food Court to get some lunch and bring it back to the room. We got a pizza, salad and some jello and headed to feed the crew. After lunch we made the boys lay down and Becki, Will and I headed over to Downtown Disney to do some shopping. I wanted to get a few things to put up for Christmas for the boys. We walked around talking and shopping for about 2 hours. I got some great things and got to know Becki... who is an absolute doll... I felt like I had known her for years and we found out that we were both attending Tulane at the same time for the first year, and she had known my college roommate... small world! It was time to head back to the resort so they could drop me off and Will could get ready for work. A quick kiss, and exchanging of addresses and phone numbers with Becki(who was leaving that afternoon) and we parted ways with plans to meet up later that night. When I got upstairs all of my crew were passed out... being the sweetheart(LOL) I am I decided to let them sleep a little longer. At 4:30 it was time to get up! We all got refreshed and remade up and out the door we went.

Re: Pooh and the crew do Disney... Day 6: The Epcot Quickie and SpectroMagic Part Two: The Mini Passporter Greet and SpectroMagic We got into the park, via Monorail... and got to ride up front again. Which reminds me... I have a bone to pick with those Monorail drivers... Didn't I read somewhere on the boards about children getting "wings" or a "pilots certificate" when riding up front or did I just imagine it? Okay enough whining... We decided to stop at a couple of the shops on Main Street going in. Gammaw did some shopping... I held back(my credit cards were already smoking). Then it was over to Liberty Square to get our bench for SpectroMagic. We walked right past The Hall of Presidents and the crew decided to head for Haunted Mansion first... so I sent them on their way and headed back to H.O.P. to see if my fellow Passporter Groupies were there. I had the pleasure of meeting Sara(Belle*) and her husband Mushu(they are both absolute dolls!!!) and Marcie(LilMarcieMouse) and her sister. Thanks Mushu for being our photographer! And thanks Marcie for the apple butter... it was YUMMY!!! I met back up with the crew... Gammaw and Christopher decided to grab a bench as they were filling up fast... Connor, PawPaw and I headed for Splash Mountain. This was suppose to be our last day in the park so we wanted my little men to ride their favorites. We now faced the first line we had really had all week... a 15 minute wait... not really that bad. We rode it and got back in line to do it once more. We headed back to our bench and got ready for Spectro! I was not really excited about this parade... I had never seen it but I didn't really care about this one.... boy oh boy was that stupid.... I have to say I LOVE this parade! I was as "jaw dropped" as the boys were. Will was not actually in character in this parade, but he had to walk the route for someone who was on vacation.... so this time when I spotted him I could see him... he was waving and winking and the boys screamed "Will"... he got the biggest kick out of it. We waited there for about 15 minutes after the parade and then decided to head towards the castle for the firework show. We stopped and had a perfect spot on the bridge over Liberty Square. It was beautiful... the castle reflected into the water... and we had a perfect view of Tinkerbell's Flight. When she came out of that castle Christopher went WILD!!!! I thought he was having a seizure! Needless to say Tinkerbell has a new admirer! And when the fireworks started they both went ape! After it was all over I got statements like "Wow Mommy that was Cool"... and "More Momma more".... my heart immediately melted! We had made a plan to hang out a while and let the park clear out a bit... we had no problem finding a bench(over in the little courtyard behind the Christmas shop. We sat there talking and remembering different highlights of the trip... and both boys fell asleep in the strollers. At 10 PM we finally started heading out of the park. When we got up to the train station my phone rang... he was at City Hall and walked towards us while we were on the phone.... and we all walked out together. As we were waiting for the Ferryboat Mom turned around and said "you two kids go have a good time, we will take the boys back and put them in bed... this is your last night"... I was thrilled that she was so sweet to let us have one last night together... after kissing the crew Will and I headed to his car and back to his place for a while. Coming Soon... Day 7: Can't We Just Stay? And Can I Keep You???

Re: Pooh and the crew do Disney... Day 6: The Epcot Quickie and SpectroMagic MommaPooh -- what a fabulous report and the trip reports aren't bad either!! I keep checking every day for the next day's report. I keep hoping that it has a fairy tale ending This is better than any of those 'stupid romance books (my DH's description)' that I read since it is real. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Pooh and the crew do Disney... Day 6: The Epcot Quickie and SpectroMagic MommaPooh, You can count me in as a Pooh Groupie...this report gets better every day! I wish now that I had made it to the Passporter meet, but I decided to skip because it was such a LONG day and DH was grumpy. So hurry with the pictures, I need to put faces to names (especially those two little cuties of yours). Keep me posted about the interview! Mary
