| Helton Holiday-Day 8 Adventurers: Laura(38) Matthew(38) Josh(11) Kaci(8) Friday,7-6-01-Kona Cafe,MK,Epcot We had a 9:00 PS at the Kona Cafe, so we set the alarm for 7:30. We took the bus to MK, then the monorail to the Polynesian. We had heard good things about the Tonga Toast and had to try it. Actually, Matthew tried that, I had banana pancakes with bacon, and the kids had Mickey cakes. None of us could finish our meals. I tried Matthew's and it was very good! My pancakes were very yummy, too! We looked around the resort for a while. It's really nice. We'd love to stay here sometime. We checked our video to see our morning so far and discovered Matthew had left the camera on during our breakfast! It was a wonderful shot of our feet through the entire meal! We took the monorail back over to MK and checked out Winnie the Pooh. This time, we got a Fastpass early. While we waited for our time, we watched the Sword in the Stone ceremony. We had never seen this before. It was funny though. He chose a little girl from the audience to be the ruler for the day. She was all smiles-it made her day! I'm glad we were able to ride Pooh, but it was meant for smaller children, I think. It was cute enough, but just not as exciting as I thought it would be. We headed back to the room after taking in the magic of MK one last time. It's hard to leave, knowing you won't be back for some time! The kids wanted to spend some time at the arcade and we just wanted to rest our feet. We had snacks in the room and gave them some spending money. Matthew and I watched some tv, then I went to the gift shop. I couldn't get him a t-shirt and not get her anything. I had seen a cute ring that was a Mickey head birthstone. I finally found her birthstone and some ponytail holders with the Mickey head also. We wanted to see Epcot one last time, so we got over there around 4:30. We went to World Showcase to catch the American Adventure show and try one more time for the fish and chips! I don't know if I had ever seen the American show, but it was great! I'm sure it's really special to watch now! Since we were right next door to Liberty Inn, we got the kids their chicken tenders to make them happy. We walked to get our fish. I knew it would be crowded, because the Passporter said it has very long lines. When we caught sight of it, I could see there was no one in line at all! I was so excited! We got our dinner and went to look for somewhere to sit. The area right behind the shop was all taken, so we sat outside the Rose and Crown pub. After dinner, we went back for a swim. At least, the kids swam. I stayed in the room to pack a little. I hated to do it because it made me realize we had to go! Tomorrow-we say goodbye to Disney! Laura |
