| The Fairy Godmother, Fairy Goddaughter and Fairy Queen take off "day 1" Well so getting up at 3 am sounded like a good idea months ago when we booked the 7 am flight. Wanted to get there early! So we left the house at 3:30 am making our way to Newark Airport. Scooped up Fairy Goddaughter,FG, from her sound sleep only to find out that children need no sleep at all! Went stright to long term parking and thought we missed the bus when the driver turned around for us. Checked our bags at the curb and went to the gate with 2 hours and 30 min. to spare. So much for needing extra time. Did see cute National Guardsmen and they did not crack a smile. On the plane FG was fantastic. She played, colored and listen to CD on head phone. She loved the take off and landing. We had reserved a car w/National off the Emerald Aisle. I was told to take any car we wanted. So we jumped into a Caddilac only to find out it was not on the Aisle but we could pay extra for it if we wanted. We took it back and got a Blazer off the Aisle! Had a good laugh. The clerk did not charge us for the car seat for FG and that was nice. We went to AKL and were upgraded to a pool view room, 2424, it was very nice. The second floor has inclosed balcony walls so no one can see you if you are sitting down. A very nice thing. We were very hungery and took off for Downtown Disney and the Rainforst Cafe. After lunch we saw Monsters, Inc, I did fall asleep for a few min. and Dear Sister said it was the only time I did not snore! I think it is a very cute movie. FG was so good during the movie. The weather was a little cold and windy because of the storm systems south. We had dinner a Jiko that night. Old Uncle/Grandpa gave us a bribe, I mean gift, to spend while we were there so we tried Jiko. I had the cinnamom beef rolls and roast chicken and DS had squash soup and lamb shanks. Fairy girl had gold fish crackers on the house! Yummy. We had called for turn down service and they came while we were still in the room, but it was lovely. Went to snore, I mean sleep. Plans for Magic Kingdom tomorrow! Susan |
