Dates: November 2 thru 10, 2001

Day eight: Friday November 9, 2001 – Finally the Magic Kingdom!

Decided to give Bob Evan’s another chance this morning and had much better results. Back to the YC and to the pool until around 2:30. Decided to take the bus to the Magic Kingdom. Just missed the parade (oh well – we’ll have to come again!) so attempted to head back to the Haunted Mansion. It was just about 4:00 and the fast-passes were for 4:35 – 5:35 so got two. Went to the Liberty Tree Tavern and inquired about walk-in availability. Was told no problem, only about 5 minutes (being a party of two does have it’s advantages). We really enjoyed this meal (I know what a surprise from us Northerners). We had seconds on most everything. Again I was very surprised at the amount of time the characters came to visit us. We have pictures with Minnie, Goofy, Chip, Dale and Pluto. They were all wonderful and made sure that each of us had taken our pictures with them before heading off to another table. This was our second favorite meal of the trip.

Made it to the Haunted Mansion by 5:15, then went to the Pirate’s – no wait at all! Most people were waiting for the SpectroMagic parade by this time. Next stop Tiki birds as in our previous seven visits we have never seen them. What a cute show! Decided to not watch the parade so got the monorail to EPCOT.

Immediately went on Spaceship Earth – another favorite of ours. Next stop Innoventions to find the internet postcard stations. Sent a couple of the postcards – very cute idea. Next to HISTA – no wait other than while the current show finished. Walked thru Canada and England before exiting thru International Gateway. Stopped at the Beach Club to take a picture of their Christmas tree (I may have forgotten to mention earlier in the week that suddenly the YC was decked out in all of it’s holiday finest). Back to the room to start packing

Isn't amazing how quickly time goes when you're in WDW? Seems like you just arrived and here we are nearly at the end of your trip reports!
