Shelly - Thanks so much for taking the time to share your magical trip in the world with the rest of us!!!! That has got to be one of the best trip reports I have ever read!!
It reminded me of the times my mom visited me in college! We would have a blast!! We live 7 hours apart now, and I miss her (and the rest of my family) tons!! Lucky for me, I'm going home for Memorial Day weekend to visit!

Re: My First Trip Report!!!! Complete report!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you who read my trip report! Your comments were fantastic. I would most definitely recommend this type of travel arrangements to anyone. My oldest daughter (Ashley - 16 years) and I will definitely be doing a mother/daughter trip together in early November 2003. I would love to hear from anyone that has taken a teenager to the World...as most trip reports I have read seem to involve elementary and pre-school children.

Again, thank you soooo much for your very kind and generous feed-back.

I just read your trip report, and it was great. But how do you get the electricity into your igloo? A mother-daughter trip sounds great, but I don't think I could get DH to agree to that, he loves WDW too much to let me go without him!

Re: My First Trip Report!!!! Complete report!

Electricity? Shelly do you have electricity to your igloo? Lucky! LOL Did you have anyone ask if you knew someone they knew? ie.- "My brother in law's cousin so-and-so from Canada" I actually had someone ask me that! We laughed for a long time over that one. I think that's why the Molson Canadian commercial about Office Glen cracks me up so much! I also have to mention that a girl I know visited us from England and wondered what the plastic bug guards on the top of a truck's hood were and what those clear plastic things you put on the inside of a car window to keep them from frosting up were. So a real smart-alec told her they were bulletproof shields to protect us from the Indian attacks!

Great trip report by the way, Shelly. It sure makes me wish the exchange rate was better so we could go sooner. But wishing won't make it so, so we'll just continue saving like crazy for a trip in 2004.

Re: My First Trip Report!!!! Complete report!

Okay I am really slow. I finally made it through your entire trip report. Somehow I got sidetracked and never finished reading it. You and your daughter really had a great time. Thank you for sharing it with us.
