| Magical Trip Day 2 Day 2 plans include an early morning breakfast and off to AK. I got all up early to see the animals out the balcony. Well there were no 4 legged animals but we were in time to see the animal keepers filling the bait boxes with food. Went to Mara's for a 7:00 am PS We were surprised to find that we were the only table filled. This buffet was magnificent. All the food was hot or cold fresh and ready to go. There was the standard fare plus some african dishes that we all tried and could not identify the unknown spice. It was fun to get so much attention from the servers. After bfast we walked the trails around Arusha rock and the animals were out eating at their stations. Next caught the bus (only 2 other people on it)and rode the 5 minutes to AK! Wow a big plus!! My teens were upset when they had to wait ten minutes for the park to open. It actually opened up early that day with the awakening. I was quite disappointed as I had seen this during an earlier visit before cut backs. I missed the grand parade, floats, and the dramatic staging of the native on top the rock calling to all animals. However the characters were available for autographs. My teens opted for the sprint to KS. We had the worst driver. She offered no play by play and no enthusiasm for her job. Maybe she needed an expresso!! The safari is always my favorite and I always cheer when we save "Little Red". Weather was holding that morning through the Paganini trail. Next stop was the Lion King Show we were surprised that this was a walk on!!! I have waited 45 minutes in the past. A show not to be missed!!! Consistantly excellent quality of CM's and performers. We then visited the AP Lounge in Pizzafari. Filled our water bottles and traded pins. Because this lounge is not AC we drank our water in the back of Pizzafari. Next we were off to Dinosaur. This was also a walk on!!! Amazing Ride but would not recommend it for little kids as I was scared. My older teen will not ride it yet!! After Dino we had to don our ponchos (not the $6.00 ones but the fifty cent ones we were advised to bring.) Rain or not we trudged on. Tried Triceratops spin. OK for all and then the rain let up to ride PrimWhirl. Wow I did not like this ride as it was JERKY I couldn't tell if my neck and back cracking felt good or not!! The switchbacks are brutal. We then headed for Tarzan Rocks. An excellent show and we made it just as it began to rain buckets. We love the rock style of the show!!! The roller bladers are awesome as well. Since we are all wet we head toward Asia and see the Tigers. Of course the last ride is KaliRR. A fast pass is a must for this ride as it is very popular. We all got drenched. The kids took off shoes and socks to ride. Good Idea!!! We are all off to AKL to get dry and to swim and rest. The girls wanted to go to MGM and do the Roller Coasters. (not my favorite) When the girls saw the huge stitch balloom they went crazy!! He is so cute they say. I loved the soccerers Hat. I don't care it is so original DISNEY much better that the Chinese Theatre replica. WE split up and DS and I went on our favorite Star Tours!!! We met up again at the BBStage and watched the show. I really missed the wolf scene!!! They had made some changes for the better and some for the worst. Still All in all an excellent show. We fed our always hungry teens then hit the shops on the way out. We had Ressies for Chef Mickeys at 5:30. WE were late for these and had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. Always a good dinner for teens. The food excellent the choices huge and the fun is all around . My girls got into a napkin snapping fight instead of party time and Mickey came over and shook his finger at them and took their napkins away. The whole section was laughing at them. My daughter told Mickey she promised she would never do it again and he kissed her and all was well. What a great memory!!!! After dinner we headed to the MK to ride HM the Mountains and see Spectro magic. The rain started coming down just as the parade was to begin. We were assured that it would come and so stayed. However, my advice is if it is raining do not waste your time. The parade will be a quarter of what it usually is. Wet and tired we trudged to the bus. How wonderful at the end of the day to be the first stop and assured a seat and not standing up. It pays to splurge on a deluxe resort. These are the hidden perks that are never mentioned but are so welcomed. Day two was over but tomorrow is another happy day!!! I simply do not want towaste my time sleeping!!! Look for day 3 soon. |

| Re: Magical Trip Day 2 Enjoying your trip report, I feel like I'm there with you when I read it. I also like how you put day 2 under a seperate entry instead of continuing on from the last one. It makes it so much easier for me to find and read the updated reports. |
