| Five is Fun & Fancy Free! -Info- Dates: 8.16.02-8.24.02 (9 days) Adventurers: Laughaholic88 (Me), Aunt, Uncle, Grandma, Melissa (11), Michael (7) Celebration: I like to think of it as a Graduation present! Pre-Vacation (10 days away) You probably think that it's a mad scene in my house, but to much dismay, it is not. I am th eonly one in my house going to Walt Disney World this summer, so I am much responsible for everything having to do with vacationing. I have to pack my own clothes, and iron my own clothes, and make sure I have all the right toiletries, make sure I have enough undergarments, ect. No help from anyone else! And to top it all off, I have to get used to someone else's itinerary. Well, to you it probably sounds like I am miserable and in an aweful mood. Well actually, I am not. I am very excited. Let me stress the very into enormously! You can usually find me sitting at the computer reading Passporter message boards, or looking up the latest pin information. I have a whole stack of papers and books on Disney, and even the bottom shelf of my desk is Disney arranged, from the Mickey clock to the Mickey lamp. I carry around and frequently read the Passporter, and wake up late every morning knowing that I am going to Walt Disney World next week! Yippee! I think I have been finding the best bargains. I recently took a look in Target and got some things for a dollar each. (for my carry-on) Also, On Friday I took a stop in at Macy's and found a black, colapsable Hercules wheelie carry-on bag for $19.99, because my other carry-on was very tiny and wouldn't fit my video camera. (Yes MY video camera! All mine! Not mom and dad's, mine!) I have been reading all the Disney books in Barnes & Noble's. I have been online too much, most of my friends have a hard time getting thru! I have started a countdown paper chain, and I always forget to take days off, so I like watching it get smaller when I have to take 3 or 4 off at a time. I have started making a scrapbook for vacations, I just can't stop doing Disney things! I saw a post in the newsgroup R.A.D.P. (on AOL & Google) which gave an enormous amount of sites with Disney activities. I am going to print these off and take them on the airplane with me. Now for my luggage. I am taking a black wheelie carry-on, A floral pattern wheelie suitcase, and my clear teal backpack (which I got last year at Old Navy for 7.99) It was one of the best things I bought, it had a case on the side to put my CD player in, and a hole in the case so the headphone cord could come thru. It has pockets for pens, CD's and floppy disks in the front compartment. And it's huge on the inside. My dad says travel light. But do I end up not taking my whole room? Never! I have started ironing some of my clothes, (two to be exact) and gathered up my toiletries. Well that about covers it, I will be packed at day 5, so I will post again on Day 5 with the exciting things I am going to do in WDW! Kristin 10 days to go! | Re: Five is Fun & Fancy Free! 5 more days! I didn't pack my carry-on yet...I have so much to do! I think I have been on the boards too much! But I don't care! I was telling Marcie last night, I am going to go upstairs and start packing. Well I turned the computer off, and felt like going to bed! Of course, like nothing was on the television. I woke up like 5:30 AM, to go to the bathroom. I shut my TV off (which I had left on all night) soon after I started to fall asleep I heard this strange *boop boop boop* coming from my telephone. Now the thing is pugged in the wall and in the base, so it's not like I was going nuts. Then I grabbed my remote which I keep next to my pillow, and found that it wouldn't turn on my TV. I thought the batteries were dead, because I had previously used them. So I got up and tried to turn on the TV, nothing. I thought oh no, the power's out! Well I got this big clunky radio and listened to music until I fell asleep. Fun huh! Well, it actually has nothing to do with Disney what-so-ever, but kind of put me in a bad mood. Well, since my sore throat it feeling a little better, I plan to pack some more today. I got my ears cleaned out, and I bought some ear pugs for the plane and for swimming, so I am all set. I have all my contact lens stuff, all my toiletries. I have started to put like 8 shirts in my bag, and I am going to put some more shorts in when my the laundry is finished. I am getting so excited! Also, Gary, my hermit crab, got to new buddies yesterday. Hispal Rosie died a few weeks ago, and we couldn't find crabs anywhere. But to my luck, when I was getting my perscription for my sore throat the little pet store by Eckerd had them. But Petco didn't! So...all the ressies are all done, I have a notebook for my trip notes, my Passporter (which I thought I lost the other day!) and my Passport for Epcot. Your eyes were proabably bugging out when I said I lost my Passporter. I was cleaning out my old carry-on, then I left the stuff on my bed until the evening. Well, I was sooo tired I kind of threw everything on my bed back into the bag and put it away. Now I was looking for the Passporter, and I saw one, but of course it was lat years! So I thought, and remembered I was shovelling everything into my bag the other day, so I probably left it in there. Of course I did! I have been printing stuff off WDWIG like crazy! I have a folder full of stuff like E-ride nights, and Pins, and Tips! Some of the stuff I plan to do: Make a 'Blair-witch' Disney type film with my cousins Melissa and Michael Ride the Water Mice with Melissa Go to Disney Quest with Melissa Do the '100 Magic Kingdom Memories' trivia and scavenger hunts with Melissa Do the 'Pin Pursuit' with Melissa See Shockwave (which ends te day I leave!) with my family with the Annual Passholder preferred seating See I have a whole itinerary! Next: Who could think 1 was such an unhappy number? One more day until I visit the Mouse House! Last minute preparations, last goodbyes... Kristin |
