Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Ok, here goes my first attempt at a trip report.

Cast:
Heidi – Too many trips to count
Aimee – 3rd trip
Celebrating: Aimee’s Birthday and having fun!

Saturday, November 30th – Travel Day

I was up bright and early at 6:00am and ready to go. After 10 long months of planning, the day was finally here. We are going to be in DisneyWorld tonight! Got out of the house around 7:00am. Kerry was driving us and he needed a coffee pick me up from Starbucks so made a quick stop and with him fully caffeinated headed over to Aimee’s and were at the airport 20 minutes later. Now I’m one of those people who like to get to the airport early to check in, do the customs things and get to boarding area with lots of time. Well guess what? Since we were flying through Toronto, we weren’t doing customs until we got there. What??? We only have one hour and 20 minutes between flights. I always cleared customs in Vancouver but then I was always connecting through Chicago, Denver, LA or Dallas. Wasn’t even thinking. Oh well, everything will go smoothly because we are going to DisneyWorld.

Since we had so much time – our flight doesn’t leave until 10:30am and we did express check in we decide to go get some breakfast. Went to Milestone’s Restaurant and I had the cheese omelet and Aimee had the eggs benedict. Very delicious and a good start to our day.

Head over to the boarding area and wait for the loading. Flight out to Toronto was pretty smooth – but 5 hours. Long time to be sitting. We did get to see My Big Fat Greek Wedding. That movie was so good. I hadn’t seen it yet so that was my “magical moment” of the day. We were served a beef stroganoff which had no business being called that in my books. Couldn’t finish it. I’m just not a airplane food lover. I think next time, I’ll go vegetarian. I would rather just have a big salad.

Do the transfer thing in Toronto. Luckily everything went really smoothly so we were through customs in no time and at our next gate in plenty of time and on our way to Orlando.

It was around 10:30pm when we landed. I love getting into the airport and take what I call the “first monorail” ride to the main terminal. Basil from TTC was waiting for us in the baggage area, got our bags and we were on our way in the warm Florida air. Made a stop at Walgreens to pick up some water and snacks for the room and were at All Star Movies by 11:30pm or so. As we were late in checking in, we were put in “The Love Bug” area. I thought it would be too far out but we actually liked it. Room 7826 on the second floor facing the parking lot. Very quiet which we both liked. Love that one the best out of all the All Stars.

Did our unpacking and hit the hay around 1:00am. Tomorrow – MGM and our first full day at Disney!

Sunday, December 1st – MGM Studios

We got up around 8:00am and just kind of lay there letting it soak in that we were at Disney. I must have got to MGM around 10:00am or so. First thing – park passes for both of us. Those in hand, head to the turnstiles, enter, have our bags checked and we are off to the races.

As Aimee is a shopper, we had to head into a few stores first and I headed to the big hat to see what Magical Moments pins were there as I had the Internet coupon to get the free pin. I get there and they are sold out of Magic Kingdom and MGM – the two I wanted! Oh no. I settled for Animal Kingdom and I got my free pin. I waited for Aimee to meet me there and then I noticed a ton of characters to the left of the hat. And one was Eyeore – Aimee’s favorite so when she got there we got in line to get our picture taken with him. (The one thing I noticed this trip that there were characters everywhere all the time. It got to the point where we were saying, oh got that one already.) I called Kerry as we were in line to get him to send an email to Aimee’s boyfriend – she couldn’t remember his cell number. Ah, Disney, it makes us forget the simplest things. I had to cut him off, “because we are next to have our picture taken with Eyeore!” Also there were Pooh, Pinocchio, Tigger, Queen of Hearts, Esmerelda, Snow White, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb. First few minutes in the park and the characters were everywhere!

We were hungry and since we hadn’t had breakfast, we decided to do a bigger lunch so we went to the Sci-Fi Drive In. Had a great meal. I’ve been lucky and both times have had a great experience there. Paul our server was excellent. We both did the American Burger but could have shared it as it was a ton of food. Now it was time to get on our first ride. So we headed to Muppets 3D vision, which was close, and not fast since we just ate. I love this show so much! Came out and seemed to get lost for a bit but I found my way again and we headed over to Star Tours. Next it was Aimee’s first experience with Tower of Terror. She was a bit nervous but I convinced her to go on it. Well she was hilarious! I’ve never heard someone laugh and scream at the same time. We ended up going on it another 2 times afterwards. Let go again, let’s go again!!! Next one of my favorites, Rockin’ Roller Coaster. I love how smooth that coaster is. This is where we encounter our first rude couple. Look, you don’t need to push your way through; everyone is going to get a turn. It’s not like we had any wait or anything. I just don’t understand some people’s kids….

And what is with those turkey legs? Is it just me or do those things just look too out of place. They look like Fred Flintstone and his brontosaur legs or something. Just don’t get it.

We did some more shopping – we hit I think every gift shop at Disney. Love the Villains store. Saw the Cruella doll and thought of Joanne.

We were getting a bit tired so we headed back to the room and had a nap – something that would become a daily thing for us. I love holidays.
We decided to take it easy for dinner so we grabbed some food from the All Star food court and took it back to the room. I had the chef salad and cheese plate. We watched some TV and headed to bed. Tomorrow – Magic Kingdom!

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Monday, December 2nd – Magic Kingdom

Had to get up early today as we had a very important appointment with a certain Chef at the Contempory Hotel. Namely, Chef Mickey and his friends! We got there a few minutes early for our 9:15am reservations and were seated almost immediately. There were tons of people who I think just dropped by that waited a long time to get in. It sure pays to plan ahead. We were seated in a back area that I thought was not so great but I was wrong. We were the first table in our area the characters come to. Chip and Dale came by first and caused a few problems with trying to steal Aimee’s waffles which she of course played along. We were then quietly eating when I looked up and who was coming towards ME with arms stretched out as far as they could go? But the one and only, Mickey Mouse. Aimee said the expression on my face was priceless. He was coming to me!!! And I’m not a kid. I was so happy, I jumped up and gave him a big hug. Some napkin waving thing started by I was totally fixed on the Mouse. Minnie came by after that, then Pluto, Goofy walked by (he was really keeping the people waiting at the front company) and Chip and Dale came by again and still tried to steal Aimee’s food. It was such a great breakfast. Something neither of us had done before.

With our tummies full we headed out and of course had to stop by the gift shops. We can’t walk by one without going in. I just love doing that. Finished up there and headed to the place that started it all. Good old Magic Kingdom.

Jumped on the monorail and we were there in a flash. Quick bag check and there were tons of characters again. Mickey was there – boy he can sure move fast from just serving breakfast! Shortly we were heading up Main Street. This time, I took it real slow and said to Aimee I just wanted to savor the moment as we walked around the circle and looked down at the Christmas tree and Cinderella’s Castle in the background. I usually walk in so fast I don’t take it all in. This trip, I did that everywhere. One of my goals which I’m glad I set. So what do we do first you ask? Hit the shops. Walk our way through the stores on the left side of the street and come out at the Hot Dog stand. Would have loved a hot dog but we were so stuffed from breakfast, alas, not this trip…..

With tummies still full, we hang a left and head into Adventureland. First things first, Pirates of the Caribbean. Nice leisurely boat ride to get the day off to a good start. Walk around and head over to Frontierland watching many people yet again eating those turkey legs. I swear they were everywhere. It’s funny how when you set your mind to find something, it doesn’t disappoint you!

Now we were a bit hot and what else can one do but go for a fun filled ride on Splash Mountain to cool off. I love that ride so much. We were going to do Big Thunder but it did have a bit of a line and we felt like moving on so we headed to the one and only Haunted Mansion. (Thought of Steve when I was getting on). I love this ride so much too. I was looking at everything, didn’t want to miss anything. Close call but we made it through without a scratch. Think our ghost wanted to come along too. Think he liked Aimee!

Next Fantasyland. Oh my but it was packed with people. I really wanted to go on Peter Pan but it said 45 minute wait. Ok, I love the ride but wait 45 minutes for a 2 minute ride? I will just have to leave it for next time (there better be a next time!). Walked through Fantasyland but everything was so busy so we just headed to Tomorrowland. And who is the first character I see? But Buzz Lightyear! One of my must haves this trip. Got a great one of him and who was close by but Mike from Monsters Inc. We jumped at the chance to get our picture taken with him.

Time for Space Mountain. We were just about at the loading area on the right when it all stopped and we waited and waited and finally they took us over to the left side and got on there. Seems the last cars that started to go got stuck in the blue tunnel portion and had to be taken out. That would have freaked me out a bit.

Came out and to the side were two characters from Treasure Planet. The kid and the goofy robot. There was a huge crowd around them so we decided to just walk by. Even had a wind racer (or whatever that thing is) behind them.

So by this time, I was getting a little rumbly in my tummy and it was time for a Dole Whip. Boy did I savor that. We sat down and just people watched for awhile. It’s funny how frantic some people are when they are there. No wonder there are cranky people. They have so stop sometimes and just let it all go by to really enjoy it all.

We were done at this point so we headed back to the room for our afternoon nap and headed to Downtown Disney in the evening. We weren’t sure what we wanted to do for dinner so we were looking at menus and decided on Fulton’s Crabhouse. Wow, we had a fantastic meal. They started us off with this cream cheese/crab dip and crackers. We ordered the snow crab legs and shared them for our appetizer and we both had the Maine lobster which were incredible. Expensive meal but oh so good. Isn’t that what vacations are for? Also makes it easier when I’m only paying for myself.

We rolled out of there and headed to World of Disney. Dropped a load of cash there getting excellent Scrapbook supplies, a shirt, mug for my friend, note paper for my grocery list so I have a little bit of Disney with me every week some magenets for someone else and a Pluto for my doggy.

Next into the Christmas store to buy some stuffed characters for a Christmas wreath I’m going to make for our door this weekend. Also had to pick up some Minnie ears for a friend at work who just had a baby girl and they are huge Disney lovers too. Had to do it. Placed the order to pick up the next day. After that, headed back to the room to relax and get ready for next day.

I should mention at this time I started to get a sore throat which I blame on the warm weather and air conditioned buildings. It seems I always get a cold when I keep going inside, outside, inside....(I'm still fighting it too!)

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Sounds fun so far. You guys sound like my kind of girls - stopping at every shop! I would love to have done that. I could barely drag my husband in for 2 minutes!

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Tuesday, December 3rd – A day of Rest

Well, we woke up around 10:00am or so and my throat was getting sore. We decided to just take it easy today. We lay around watching TV for a bit and headed to Downtown Disney again around Noon. We wanted a cheap meal so we headed over McDonalds for a little lunch. After that, we headed to the west side to look around but really didn’t find much. My Minnie hat was supposed to be ready at 4:30pm so we headed back and decided to stop by Ghiradelli’s for a little ice cream treat. Wow, was that good. I had the Very Berry Sundae. Picked up the hat and did a little more browsing in the stores we missed last night and headed back to the hotel. Did the dinner thing in the food court again and took it easy that night by just watching some TV. All and all a very relaxing day.

Wednesday, December 4th – Animal Kingdom and Hoop Dee Doo Revue

We rose around 9:30am and headed out the door shortly after that for the Animal Kingdom. It was another beautiful morning out. Got to the park around 11:00am and saw our first character of the day. Terk talking to the moving trash can. Had never seen that before. Get into the park and I had to head right to It’s Tough to be a Bug. I love this show so much and Aimee had never been on it. As there were no real lineups we decided to walk relatively slowly through the queue to look at all the carvings in the tree. (Again, doing my best to catch all details this trip). Got down in to waiting area and were let in shortly thereafter. Needless to say, all the little surprises got Aimee and that made me have all the more fun – at her expense but hey, what are friends for?

Since we hadn’t had anything to eat yet I suggested lets look for a place for lunch. At that moment, what did I see? But another turkey leg being devoured by someone. I told you they were following me around. I have to admit I’m a little disappointed in the food options at Animal Kingdom. Nothing was really calling out to us but we decided on Tusker House Restaurant. I had the chicken sandwich as did Aimee and realized after we should have shared it (we finally wised up the next day and started to do that as portions can be quite big to us down there). After lunch we strolled into a few shops and then headed over to do the safari ride and the animals were out in full force. The only ones we really didn’t see were the lions as it was mid day and they were in the shade but we saw them sleeping up by their rocks. Followed that up with the Kali River Rapids, Dinosaur, and Primevil Whirl (loved that one!). That area sure has changed since the last time I was there. I think there was only Dinosaur and the boneyard there. It sure is colorful now.

We had had enough at this point and decided to head back for a nap before our dinner so off we go. Decided at the last minute to run into the gift shop outside the park for one last look. I stopped by the rack that had the Magical Moments pins and what do I see, but one of Cinderella’s Castle!!! What? I was told they were sold out and I found 5!!!! I only picked up one but thought afterwards, I could have sold them on ebay and made a small return. Oh well. Pin in hand, back to the hotel.

Now since I had never been to Fort Wilderness before and didn’t know how long it would really take, we left around 5:30pm and did the bus to Magic Kingdom and transferred to the Resort boat which took us there. The first stop was the Wilderness Lodge. Wow, what a beautiful hotel. We were originally booked there but in an effort to save some money, stayed at Movies for our whole trip. Off again and arrived at our location shortly thereafter. Found our way to where we needed to be and had plenty of time to spare. At 7:15pm the doors were opened and we were taken to our seats. The gentleman was walking along the side and closer to the stage and closer and finally drops us off right in front of the stage – center! We had amazing seats. Not sure how that happened but I did book back in February so maybe that had something to do with it. The show was a lot of fun and had to think of Aerobics (Nate) when I was eating the ribs. (If you remember the NASTEE report, he had a little blurb in there about the ribs – enough said!) The show was so much fun and we were glad we did it.

Headed back to the room afterwards and chilled out and off to bed. As you can see, neither of us are party people and are quite boring come evening time.

Thursday, December 5th – Epcot and our last full day at Disney

Started the day off with some clouds but that wasn’t going to get us down. All ready to go, we head off to Epcot for a full day of walking. We arrive around 10:30am and I had to do Spaceship Earth right off the bat. Aimee didn’t feel like it so she headed over to Mouse Gears for some shopping. Afterwards, couldn’t find her and it ended up we were both walking around SE and couldn’t find each other. Finally I sat down and she walked by. We really wanted to do the pavilions instead of the rides so we headed for Mexico. Now I love the taco salad they have in the outside cantina so we decide to share it so we have room for more sampling as we walking around the world. Enjoyed our salad even with the thousands of birds flying around trying to get at our food. Took a picture of the cantina (I was taking pictures of all the places we ate to enter into the scrapbook) and headed to Norway to ride Maelstorm. We braved rapids, trolls and pirates and got out without a scratch. Aimee wanted to get to China to look for some pajamas so we headed in there and spent around 45 minutes just looking around. We came out and the skies just opened and dumped water at an alarming rate. Funny thing, this happened to us in almost the exact same spot in April 1999 when we went the first time. Rain ended and we headed out. Stopped in the American pavilion because I wanted to see the flag from Ground Zero which was pretty incredible. I had seen the show before so we headed out to Japan where Aimee wanted to get some soup. Did a little more shopping in Japan (or should I say Aimee did) and we headed to England where the Beatles were playing in that open courtyard. Ended our world tour with a stop in our homeland of Canada and headed out of the showcase area. When we were coming to the walkway back to Future World, the character bus had just stopped and there were tons of characters in their Christmas finery. Saw the big cheese again as well Minnie, Goofy, Smee, Donald and Daisy (have never seen them together before), Pluto and some more that I can’t think of right now. Got a bunch more pictures.

Took one look back at the world showcase not knowing when I would be back again and we made a stop in Mouse Gears again and were out.

Did the food court for dinner again and arranged for luggage pick up in the morning. TTC was picking us up at 9:00am to take us to the Royal Pacific. Headed back to the room to pack up our stuff and watched Survivor. At least I didn’t miss all my shows while on holidays.

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Friday, December 6th – Leaving Disney and heading to Universal Orlando

We were up around 8:00am and ready to go. Our luggage was picked up and we headed to the front for about 8:45am. Took a slow walk back to get one last good look at the hotel. We took a bunch of pictures of all the areas. Yes, Movies is my favorite of the All Stars. Would have loved to stay in the Toy Story section but maybe next time.

Our driver was there right at 9:00am and off we go to Universal. The drive was uneventful and we arrive not long after. First impressions of the hotel – beautiful! When we head inside – WOW! It was so nice in there. I loved Movies but this was such a step up in luxury. It is themed after the island of Bali in the 1930s. Lots of dark woods, fountain in a small outside courtyard, sitting area with orchids and such detail down to pillows all over the place. There was also a beautiful Christmas tree in the lobby as well as an island gingerbread scene. Even though it was early in the morning, our room was ready which I was really happy about because my cold was turning on me. We head up to the room and Wow again. Beautiful pool room view in the third tower (closest to the water taxi) and a wonder view of Islands of Adventure – especially Dr. Doom and Hulk Coaster rides.

This was supposed to be our shopping day but I just wasn’t up for walking around so Aimee headed off to Belz Outlet stores and I got under the covers and slept for 4 hours. I felt so much better after that. Unpack my clothes for the next few days and Aimee was back around 3:00pm and loaded down with bags. Boy this girl can shop. I’m not sure if the Nike store had any merchandise left!

Since I was feeling better, we went to CityWalk around 7:00pm and looked around for a place for dinner. Went into the Universal Store first (of course) and ended up eating at Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville. It was a lot of fun in there but I’m sure they get sick of that song. I was at the end of dinner and that was only after an hour or so. My dinner was ok – coconut shrimp with mashed potato. There was just too much coconut for me which made it too sweet. After dinner, we walked around a bit more and I bought a Universal Studios zip up jacket with Scooby Doo on the back. After that, we headed back to the room for tomorrow was IOA day and we wanted to be there bright and early.

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Saturday, December 7th – Islands of Adventure

We both had been waiting for this day. Neither of us had ever been to this park and were quite excited to experience all the rides. And being that we are guests at one of their hotels, we got to use our room keys for front of the line access to all the rides. We literally did not wait for anything. We walked on almost every ride.

Got in and right away loved the way they have themed this park. I loved the detail they put into the buildings. We were hungry so we started off at the Croissant Moon Bakery. Had their breakfast croissant and a fruit cup and Aimee had to try a Krispy Kreme donut. We don’t them in Canada so she just had to have one. While we were there eating, our first character sighting, Spiderman walked into the bakery. You should have seen the little boys. They were going nuts! He was mobbed for about 20 minutes.

Got out of that and headed into Seuss Landing. My first thought when I walked through the arch – this is where they dropped the Cake that covered Cinderella’s castle! I could not believe the color that was in there. We must have taken 10 pictures each. I just loved how over the top it was. First ride, Cat in the Hat. Unfortunately, there was a small glitch but it was up and running shortly and we were in our couch

When we came out of that ride, the Grinch and his friends were putting on the Grinchmas concert. The characters looked like they came right off the movie set. Got a picture of the Grinch but couldn’t get too close as he was surrounded by kids.

Headed into the Lost Continent and went on what we call our most disappointing ride of the whole trip – Poseidon’s Fury. Boring……Stopped by the Mystic Fountain and listened as it talked to some kids who were totally amazed that a fountain could talk and could describe them. You got to love kids. We followed that up with one of my new favorites – Dueling Dragon. We went on the Fire side. Wow – what a roller coaster. That was the first one I have been on where my feet were dangling. A complete rush! Headed into Jurassic Park and got a bit lost and ended up in the front of the Discovery Centre by the water and couldn’t find our way out. Finally we did and went to the River Adventure ride. And of course, I got wet. I always do on these rides. Stopped for a cool drink and then into Toon Lagoon for yet another soaking on Dudley Do Rights Ripsaw Falls. I was completely drenched when I got off of that. We asked a lady to take our picture because we looked so funny. That was one fun ride. I’m sure when it is hot out, that ride is really lined up. Aimee wanted to go again and I said be my guest but she didn’t want to do alone.

I saw the Hulk was getting closer so I said lets go. Since Spiderman was the first one we passed, we decided to do that one right away. Wow, yet another great ride. A lot of work definitely went into that ride. Had to stop in the Spiderman store as Aimee wanted to get something for her nephew who is a really big fan. And finally it was Hulk time. I guess after Dueling Dragons, coaster just aren’t going to scare me anymore because I usually close my eyes the first time I go on one but this time, eyes open the whole time and boy was it a smooth ride. I could have just kept riding it over and over.

We were pretty beat at this point so we decided to head back to the room for our regular afternoon nap. Dinner was at Red Lobster on International Drive. We both had the Ultimate Feast which was delicious. We had so much good food on this trip. Back to the room after that for some TV and off to bed.

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Sunday, December 8th – Aimee’s Birthday and Find Scooby Day

Today is our last day in Florida. We woke up around 9:00am and I had to start the day off with my rendition of Happy Birthday dear Aimee! Round of applause. Thank you, thank you. Today Aimee’s only goal was to find Scooby Doo and get her picture taken with him. So we head over the Universal Studios. As soon as I walked in, I have to say after IOA, I was disappointed. It just had to color or life to it. It really needs a face lift but I’m sure with money being what it is for everyone right now, they just can’t do it. Anyways, we walk in and head of course to the big store on the left. We walk in and notice right away there is just not much in the way of Scooby merchandise. When we were there in 1999, there was tons. So we asked someone at the till and they said that it was being discontinued. What??? Something to do with the registration of it with Universal and the family or something and all Scooby stuff is being sold off and not restocked. Needless to say, Aimee was very disappointed. That unfortunately put a really “black spot” on her birthday. So there were a few stores they suggested we go to where they sell off the older stock to see if there was anything she could buy. No luck. So we decided to go check out some rides. We realize there are only a few we want to do so we head to Men in Black. Loved that one. Aimee got 158,000 and I only got a pitiful 47,500. Next a ride on a famous Delorian and head back to the time of the dinosaurs but we luckily made it back with only a few bruises. (Namely, my leg). Neither of us had ever gone on ET so we head over there and head back to ET’s home planet. We also encountered I longest wait of the trip of about 20 minutes. Considering all the front of line access, it didn’t upset us too much. That done we wanted to do Terminator but we got there and they were experiencing technical difficulties so we decided to head out. On our way out, the Rugrats were posing at the Universal Store so I had to get some pictures for my niece who likes their show.

Since it was still early, we went over to IOA for a bit. I wanted to take a few more pictures of Suess Landing – I just can’t seem to get enough of all those colors! Walked around and did a few of our favorite rides from the previous day and decided to head back to the room for a break before dinner.

I thought I would let Aimee pick the restaurant for dinner and she decided on Motown Café so over there we went. Outside was a Michael Jackson impersonator dancing around. He looked like the Michael from the Thriller days before he got carried away with all his surgeries. Went in and were seated immediately. We started with the appetizer sampler – potato skins, ribs and hot wing. Very tasty. For dinner, we both just did a salad and baked potato. We were both getting tired of eating out at this point and didn’t want anything too heavy. Lots of great old songs and videos played while we ate. Not very expensive either. All and all a good dinner.

Went back to the room to watch The Mummy and start the chore of packing up all our stuff. I was done relatively fast but Aimee needed to work on it a bit. That done, we both just sat back and relaxed. Talked about how great a trip we both had. Went to sleep around 11:00pm.

Monday, December 9th – Heading Home.

Well all good things must come to an end. TTC was picking us up at 11:00am so we took it slow and easy since we were already packed. Called to have the bags picked up and they were there in 5 minutes. This hotel has such great service and people. Basil arrived at 11:00am sharp and we were off to the airport. No real lines (again – we were so lucky to have no lines anywhere!). Made it through security in record time so we just headed to our gate for the waiting game as the flight did not leave until 2:00pm. Grabbed a quick sandwich in the small food court since our flight to Toronto was a snack only. Our plane left on time and got into Toronto where we had to clear Canadian Customs but I was under my limit so I didn’t have to pay but Aimee had to shell out $17.00. It should have been a lot more but the agent was really nice and all the stuff she had was really only park stuff so he let her go. Left Toronto on time and got home at 9:30pm. Bags came off right away but Aimee’s backpack got left in Toronto and was on a later plane so they delivered it to her the next day. The one and only glitch of the trip.

Got home and was warmly welcomed by my dog, Chyna who missed me terribly. I thought she was going to jump out of her fur she was so excited. Sat down after a long travel day and was glad to be home!

I actually did it. I wrote a trip report. Even if no one reads it, I'm putting a copy in my scrapbook that I'm about to start on as soon as the pictures come in so it is a great run down of things we did. I see how it is key to write it when you come back as I'm sure things will fade as the months pass.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you enjoyed reading it. I'm sure everyone wonders "will anyone really read it..."

I'll see if I can't post a few pictures when I get them back and scanned.

Thanks again!

Re: Heidi & Aimee in DisneyWorld/Universal

Heidi, it sounds like a great time! Disney is my first love, but Universal is a close second and I really enjoyed reading about your time there! I love Suess Landing over at IOA, too and loved your description about this is where the color was spilled! Too funny! We stayed at the Hard Rock while there and I'd love to hit Royal Pacific next time.

What a super time ya'll had - thanks for posting this!
