Re: A Fairytale of a Vow Renewal, GF--and falling in love again. Time to go home!
Your husband is so romantic! I am dropping hints to my DH that I want to renew our vows on either our 5th or 10th wedding anniversary at WDW - of course we've only been married 1 year.
I love the gift with the glass slipper. I'm trying to figure out a way to let DH know he should order one of those for our trip in February. I looked on the website but didn't see any item like that.

I think my hubby is enjoying your comments as much as the trip! Yes, he is romantic!

About the glass slipper--I think it was just part of the whole Cinderella "basket" of goodies. I don't think you can buy them individually from Fairygodmothergifts, but I could ask DH.
Tinkerbell: Oohhh, a newlywed! I can't even remember that far back

I just read the first chapter to my DH and we'll save the other chapters for tomorrow night. We're just going to let that idea germinate for a few hours!

Re: A Fairytale of a Vow Renewal, GF--and falling in love again. Time to go home!
Sunday, May 17th: 1st part of Day Two
Today was filled with “unexpected” magic from so many places. DH had checked out the early entry days and today’s was for MK. So even though we went there yesterday, we decided to go to MK first and then Hop to Epcot. DH had to get his girls up and going because I guess we were a little sleepy. We got to the gates at MK and few people were there yet. Walked right in without any wait. Wow—Main Street was really empty! They were running a marathon through MK, so one side of the street was blocked off. Nothing was open yet (odd, we thought), so we just wandered up and down the street and took a lot of pictures. It is SO cool to be there with few people. Felt like we had the place to ourselves! We wandered up toward the castle, took a few more pictures and then were asked by a waiting cast member if we had Priority Seating reservations. No, just enjoying the early morning, we said. Well, the park is only open to those with P.S. seating. Isn’t today early entry? No, because of the marathon. Well THAT explained why it was so empty! We would’ve been really embarrassed, but it was such an innocent mistake—we had NO idea! They said we didn’t have to leave (we asked) so we wandered back to Exposition Hall. This is kind of a fun treat in itself. In the back are all kinds of “picture spots” where you poke your head through a hole in the “set” to be part of “steamboat willie” for example. We posed and played and had a lovely time until the park really opened. We also bought all kinds of scrapbook stuff as long as we had time to shop.
When the rides actually opened, we went to the Indy Speedway first. The line gets SO long on this and Boo really wanted to practice driving (Oh my). Princess drove the other one, with DH and I a passenger for each. We bumped from one side to the other, but they had a great time driving! Decided to take a quick spin on the teacups (they spin, DH and I look our knees and hope for the best). Then we wandered over for the (drumroll) Splash Mountain Experience. The set-up for this ride. 1st year, nobody wanted to go. 2nd year, I begged DDs to go with me, but no dice. 3rd year, same thing (until we got home—well, maybe I could’ve done that, said Boo). This year, DDs were on board with me! DH wouldn’t come close to it, but that’s OK. The barnstormer terrorizes him, so we just know that. I was scared while we were standing in line, although the line went quite quickly so we were “in a log” before you knew it. We requested the back, and convinced the cast member that all three of us could fit in one row (we did—we could hang on to each other better that way). My legs were a little shaky as we took off, the DDs were quiet (are you getting the idea that we aren’t thrill-ride people??). We hit the first drop and that was pretty fun! I decided then that I would be OK. It’s so cute inside!!! As we were going up the BIG climb “whatever you do, don’t throw me into that briar patch” I thought, oh my, what have I done. But there’s that moment’s pause at the top, and then PLUNGE!! I came up off the seat a little even! All three of were laughing SO hard at the bottom! DH was there to take a picture as we came around—we waved and laughed. Oh my goodness, that was a blast! We stopped to look at the picture—it’s priceless. I’m just smiling, but the DDs have the best surprised look and a perfect 0 for their mouths! We had to buy it. We walked out, waved to DH, and walked right back on—HAD to do it again. We laughed even harder the second time—it was even more fun, because we could enjoy it and not be so scared!
More of Day 2 to come later…have to eat dinner and go to swimming lessons!

Glad you had fun on Splash Mountain! It's such a great attraction! That's so cool you had Main Street to yourselves for awhile. I love the pictures we got there on the morning of our 8:05 PS at CRT. No hoardes of people in the background! Looking forward to your next installment.
