| Re: TR - 11/29 - 12/5/03 Boardwalk Villas Day 7 & Final Thoughts Three cheers for you! I love your sense of humour. It made reading the trip report so enjoyable. a. The whole Marriott gift card fiasco would have sent me over the edge. b. I've always meant to go exploring about the resorts. What a perfect time - Christmas time - to do it. But somehow I believe you were lucky in getting out to the observation deck at the Contemporary. I just have visions of an angry CM saying to me "what do you think you are doing?" How brave of Barb to follow your lead, but then I guess she could blame everything on you, haha c. Funny how different families can be - you were amazed at the kids gobbling down the sushi. My surprise was the parents having Kirin. My folks wouldn't have done that while we were young. Guess they felt they needed a sharp mind and a keen eye to keep track of my brother and I while out in public. d. I agree with you I enjoy True Colors pre-show. I'll have to see what I think of the new pre-show in June. e. At least your body woke up on its own. That phone call every morning was so jarring for me. f. I guess how they handle the end of GMR depends on traffic flow. When I was there in June it was a very busy day and they did have 3 trams at once in the room for the film montage. g. While you wanted to escape the couple at the Prime Time Cafe bar, they sounded like a hoot and a half to me. But if you aren't in the mood for antics like that then I can see how annoying that could be. h. I LOVE Barb's line, "should I use my invisibility to fight crime or for evil"! I am going to steal that. Rude, self-centered behavior ENRAGES me. It seems so rampant and on the increase these days. Who raised these people!?! Obviously NOT my folks. i. Personally, I vote for Mann's Chinese Theatre facade for your montage. That stupid hat blocks it--grr. The park is about movies and this is a symbol of the movies. Plus it's a neat looking building. Wasn't this the intended icon of park anyway? Hope you got a good pic of it, if not oh well. j. Being deathly ill in WDW - that's my nightmare come true! Glad it was relatively short lived. Could've gone on for days! k. I agree with you. One of my favorite parts of a Disney trip are the other smiling guests being friendly and warm. l. Thanks for the great report. Should we place bets on when you'll return? Oh - and share the pics! |

| Re: TR - 11/29 - 12/5/03 Boardwalk Villas Steve, Yup! That was me in the hot seat! I apologize for staying in there the whole time and not letting you get in ! I thought for sure they would let one more person in, plus I was surprised I got to the 250,000 level. I'm glad there was a PassPOrter in the audience though.BTW, nothing wrong with being competitive. I saw 6 WWTBAM shows that day because I won't leave until I get in the hot seat. If that's not letting something go easy, I don't know what is . Great report!!! |

| Re: TR - 11/29 - 12/5/03 Boardwalk Villas Brant, The mystery is solved. No apologies needed - you did great in there. I'm just sorry you didn't get all the way to the cruise. One question, on the fastest finger - did you punch random letters or actually pause to figure it out? I'm always curious how people get it so quickly. |

It is so that you got to see Brant in the hotseat, even though it prevented you from getting there!I have to steal Barb's quib about using your invisibility to fight crime or for evil! (EVIL,EVIL) Against those rude people that is! I get enough of that here in NY! I hope you do make it back in April, I want another trip report! Thanks for the laughs !p.s- is it too soon to know if the Marriott fixed the credit card charge? (I would've gotten all NEW YAWK on them!!) </font> |

| Re: TR - 11/29 - 12/5/03 Boardwalk Villas Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Anyone can steal Barb's line because she stole it (from Chandler in a 'Friends' episode). Marriott told me it would take 7-10 days (that was on 12/1 so today's the deadline) and I've seen no adjustment yet. |

The whole Marriott gift card fiasco would have sent me over the edge. [/ QUOTE ] You'll be happy to hear (well, at least it made me happy) that Marriott finally came through and credited my account for the gift cards. It took about 6 weeks and somewhere between 8-10 phone calls from me - mostly to the GM at the Courtyard. The situation got more bizarre because this Courtyard by Marriott (across from Downtown Disney) became a Holiday Inn in December. This didn't help at all with my situation. |
