Our First Magical Trip to WDW I've never done this before but it's really been a lot of fun to read about other people's vacations to WDW so I thought I'd give it a shot. In three weeks myself, 24, and my husband, also 24, will be joining my parents in WDW for a full week. Neither of us have ever been so you can imagine how excited we are. In fact, our bags are pretty much packed and we've checked, doublechecked, and triple checked all of our reservations. We're staying at Port Orleans Riverside. My parents say that it's perfect for a little romance without a huge price tag (They are old pros at the whole Disney trip thing. This will be their fifth trip to the World, not counting their trips to Disneyland yet they never bothered to take us kids....) But anyway, I'm so excited that I could just about burst. I wanted to be sure that I put up a pre trip report so that I could maybe get some tips from the rest of you pros out there. We could sure use the help...the planning stage is lots of fun but a little overwhelming at the same time.

Re: Our First Magical Trip to WDW Our family will be enjoying a "Magical Gathering" in June. Our daughter has been to WDW a couple of times without us alone and on her honeymoon, we have gone with our son and family once, and DH and I have gone a couple of times but we have never gone all together before. I have become a huge Disneyfanatic (Thank God DH is almost as crazy as I am!) and this week-end I was showing my kids some of the things DH and I bought on our trip last fall. My daughter said to my son "Can you imagine what could have been if only they had taken US as kids!" So, I know how you feel and know that you and your family will all have a wonderful time on your trip. Best wishes!!!

Re: Our First Magical Trip to WDW to Passporter storm1!! I agree with you that the planning is lots of fun, but don't drive yourself crazy with "commando mode"! Be flexible!! Relax, have fun, and stop to smell some of those roses along the way! Looking forward to reading your trip report later!

Re: Our First Magical Trip to WDW OOOOOOOOOOOOOOh a newbie! Boy, do you have some Magic in store!! Let me join the others in begging you to write a trip report! I can't wait to hear all about it!My recommendation is to try and get a good "lay of the land" so that you're not completely stumped when you get there. Also, look into the different restaurants and pick a few (or more) that appeal and make Priority seatings (Disney's answer to reservations...) by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Also, try and plan at least one day off from the parks and/or a couple of afternoons and just have a drink by the pool and read or swim. It will help re-charge your worn-out batteries Most important: HAVE FUN!!
