| Re: A Spring Fling to WDW Day 2 Part 1 The Chocolate Wave Spring Fling Day 2 EPCOT and the Chocolate Wave May 19, 2004 EMH We took a resort bus to EPCOT and arrived for our extra hour. Once again there were no lines and no crowds in the morning or afternoon. We could just walk right on Spaceship Earth and since DS was so excited about going up in the "big ball" we just did that first. I could not locate the hidden Mickey. It sure is fun to try though. The next stop was The Land (they changed the song since my last visit). My family was relieved, as they were afraid that I would sing along and embarrass them. Go figure. On to Journey Into Imagination. This ride is also not an E ride for me. The narration is the best part. It is really easy to lose track of time at the different little scientific set-ups as you exit the ride. We did send some silly e-mails to a few friends. But hey, this was a vacation from school and we didn’t want to be too educational did we now? We went straight to Honey I Shrunk the Audience. This is not my favorite 3-D attraction and the part with the mice totally freaked me out. Yuck! DS did not enjoy this one very much either. We can skip this the next time. We got a fast pass for Test Track and did Universe of Energy. We love the dinosaurs. Fast Track is really neat. We did it a second time at some point in the day. By the time we did these attractions, it was 11:00 and World Showcase was open. I highly recommend getting the EPCOT Passport. It doesn’t take long at all for the CM’s to sign. The stickers you place on each country are a nice activity for kids to do while waiting for food to be served and it is small, light, and makes a very nice souvenir. Each CM wrote Hunter a little message. The CM at China wrote "Hunter loves baseball." She had taken note of the necklace he was wearing. Incidentally, the necklace he had made at Mouse Gear gift shop in EPCOT. He chose baseball beads as accents. Her special attention really meant a lot to all of us. The lease personal CM was the one at the American Pavilion. Not rude, but didn’t go our of her way like the others. Actually, we did China and America on another day, but I included them here because of other information about the EPCOT Passport. We walked right onto Maelstrom and took pictures of the topiary trolls. We stayed for the short film afterwards just because I fell so rude and uninterested if I don’t. We also walked right on to the attraction at the Mexico Pavilion. This is a nice cool and relaxing ride, but needs updated. We headed over to The Living Seas for our PS for 1:00 at the Coral Café. The service was slow, but we had been walking a lot and need the rest. The fish are beautiful and give you a really calm feeling. Our favorite was a huge sea turtle. If you eat there, you must try the lobster bisque. We shared a bowl and it was quite tasty. My order was confused in the kitchen. So DH and DS went ahead and ate while mine was corrected. Our waitress (from the UK ) was just great. My fish finally came out and was worth the wait. For the blunder, we were offered a free desert of our choice…heaven was found in the Chocolate Wave. A long time chocoholic as I only dream of things like this. The three of us shared it. Make sure you try this one. It is very rich so take it easy. We finished our tour of the Living Seas and hopped on the monorail to the MK. I must go eat chocolate now… |

| Re: A Spring Fling to WDW Day 2 Part 1 The Chocolate Wave Great report! I am looking forward to reading the rest of it. My family stayed at the Homerun Hotel for Christmas 2002 isn't it cool? My entire family are huge baseball fans. In fact my folks even head down to FL for two weeks in February for Spring Training every year. They attend ever minor leagues baseball game in their town. I grew up going to every game...but it was great!! Isn't the pool at Homerun Hotel cool!! Did you get to see it from above on the upper floors? You can really see the baseball diamond. Very cool |
