| AKL diamond tour! Well, we went, saw, ate, ate, ate, ate, slept, and oh yeah, did a litlle walking too. Did I also mention eating. Our flight down went very smooth as did getting the rental car. It was a little tricker finding our side trip, Target, due to the sign damage. Once we got onto the property the excitement really showed up on DS and DBF's faces. We were quick getting checked in. We ended up in 4030. What a great room location. We were lucky enough to be able to see the pool AND the savannah. We originally had planned to conquer one of the parks but ended up playing in the pool for almost three hours. We ended up looking like a bunch of raisins when we finally piled out of the pool. For our first meal, we ate at Boma's. It was fantasic as usual and gave DBF a hint as to what was in store for him. After our leisurely supper, we slung our tired pea-picker onto my shoulder and headed off for a good night sleep before our big day at MK. |
