Re: LizardCop and Jan\'s Christmas at Disney Trip Before I finish up day 1 a couple of other notes… I find it interesting that the annual passes are on paper stock, but our MVMCP tickets were on credit card type plastic… ![]() ![]() Here’s what our armbands looked like.. ![]() And there was a really neat looking post card we got when we entered the park… ![]() ![]() Enough about that… on with….. DAY 2, Saturday 12/18 Well, most of you probably remember that our plans were “rigidly flexible”. The only things set were 2 PS’s and 2 PP meets. So, after hitting the bed at 2AM, we weren’t in a great big hurry to get going this morning. And once out of the bed and moving, we decided to make this a DTD day… So, around 10:30’ish we made it to DTD and strolled around a little. In our strollings, we passed Marnie and her family!!! It was good seeing you again, even if it was only for a moment!!! But, lunch was next on the agenda, growling stomachs ruled!!! Where else for a great lunch but Earl of Sandwich!!!! [b]NEXT: What did we eat and do the rest of the day???

Re: LizardCop and Jan\'s Christmas at Disney Trip Weren't those postcards adorable? When we entered the park around 6:30pm the CMs at the turnstiles told us to "Take all you want...take 20 each if you want!" We took them up on it and these are mostly what I sent my "Fairy Godmailees" ![]()

Re: LizardCop and Jan\'s Christmas at Disney Trip Great report and fabulous photos! These trip reports are so cool because they all seem to be overlapping with each other. It must have been so nice to see so many familiar faces while at the "world"

Re: LizardCop and Jan\'s Christmas at Disney Trip What did we eat and do the rest of the day??? Well, let me tell you, we really loved the food at Earl of Sandwich….. Jan had The Full Montagu - roast beef and turkey with cheddar and swiss cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato and English mustard sauce And I had The Florentine - grilled chicken breast with creamed spinach, sauteed mushrooms and parmesan cheese Jan added a bag of chips and a bottle of water and I got a Powerade. Total for lunch was $16.94, well worth the price. We found an inside table, all the outside ones were taken and enjoyed the meal. We each tried the others sandwich and liked them both, though I preferred mine… As we were leaving Earl of Sandwich, I spotted Annabel and Andy in line to get their sandwiches, but the place had started to crowd up and we were out the door when I spotted them. I thought I’d see them again and/or that they might make the next passporter meet, but neither happened and I’m sorry now that I didn’t bully my way up to them and say hi…. Now, we started rambling around DTD. This is something we’re fairly good at, the real problem here is to get away with what we want, or thing we want, and still have money in our pockets… It was a great challenge today, trust me… ![]() It wasn’t as crowded as I’d expected, which was good… ![]() We headed for Mickey’s Mart, where all the less expensively priced stuff was, and it wasn’t too bad. We spent just over $30 there. They had the Mickey shaped reflectors with the flashing led in the middle and I picked up a couple of them ($5 ea). ![]() These are great, especially if you’re a walker after dark. We give out similar items with various safety themes to people around here and they really add to your visibility at night. Besides, I put them on my Radio Controlled HumVee so I can keep track of where it is at night J We left there and dropped in at Pet Tails, not really looking for anything except a new food bowl for the dog… We found one we liked for $9.00 and slipped over the Pooh’s shop. Here’s where we started to notice things weren’t quite up to our “expected normal” standards… Jan found a nice little bib and outfit for the 2 children next door. While she waited in line, I went outside to wait… She came out about 10 minutes later without the items. It seems they only had one register open and the CM there was slow, and apparently in a bad mood to boot. The line was long (8-10 people), and Jan just got tired of not moving. She put the items back up and we headed somewhere else….. Like GHIRARDELLI’s, where else can you get someone in a better mood!!!!! I had a Very Berry Sundae and Jan had a Strike it Rich Sundae, berry berry good…. After that we waddled away from the tables and decided we needed something to drink so off to Fourty Thirst Street Express for a large coffee and a Mocha…. ![]() And, as you can see, the crowds were starting to pick up… While waiting for the coffee (Jan went to get it) I shot a few pictures just for the heck of it, and because I like taking pictures and with a digital film is cheap!!! ![]() Saratoga Springs… ![]() Fulton’s and Saratoga Springs… ![]() Everyone’s favorite DTD Dragon… ![]() The Leggo Store ![]() Back towards Ghirardelli’s ![]() And the World of Disney Store, our next stop…. Where we found a few things we needed/wanted/bought and actually got out of this store for about a hundred dollars, with out AP discount, of course…… I got a couple of sticker rolls, and a rubber stamp set ($20.00), as well as a few eye glass holder straps. The rubber stamp set is real nice… ![]() ![]() Those of you that stamp realize I’d have spent a whole lot more trying to add these individually…. [b]NEXT: The rest of the day…
