| Re: Racing the Duck - Day zero!!! Great updates both of you - it's great to see you posting Cheryl! Your description of the race was excellent, although I'm sorry to hear there weren't any photos of your sprint Terri. You guys have my upmost admiration for running a half marathon - my ankle hurt just reading about it. More please! ![]() |

| Re: Racing the Duck - Day zero!!! Great race report, but sorry to hear about the non-Main St running. What is that all about? Did you check the results? Did you get an official time or not? As a comment on "back of the packers", I have more respect for you guys than I do the elites. When you think about it, the elites have to put in effort for what, 80 minutes in a half marathon, while the back of the pack is sweating it out for 3 or more hours. Your mental dedication is more than I can imagine and its frustrating that the race organizes allow people to enter and then don't give them the means to compete (powerade, finishing times, etc.) I'm not sure there was powerade at the first station at any point, I remember getting water, but can't remember if they had anything else. |
