| Re: Racing the Duck - Day zero!!! Ok - where was I??? Right - we just finished the race. We headed back to the WL via the Monorail from Poly to Contemp and boat to WL - then into the shower where I discovered a bit more chaffing than I'd previously thought - as well as dicovering that my heart rate monitor bit me. I think I need to get one of the sports bras that covers it to prevent biting again. We took our showers, cleaned up and considered our options for lunch. Neither of us wanted WCC - we'd eaten there yesterday. Then I remembered Lynn and Maureen's trip report and Beaches and Cream!!! SO -- that is where we headed. B&C. Since we had plans later in the evening for the Illuminations cruise passporter meet - we decided to drive the car to the beach club (the marina is the beach club marina - right??), go to lunch at B&C, then head to EPCOT for a bit of walking around and a few rides, back over to Yacht Club for dinner at the Yachtsman's steakhouse and then out to meet Denise & DH, Sarah and DD - Emilie, and Vicky and DM! We pulled up to the gate at the Beach Club - explained we were there for lunch and would be valeting (since I had already valeted at WL - no additional charge) and were waved right through ![]() We went throught the lobby of the BC and looked at the resort map - ok - we know where B&C is.. off we go. Well - off we go to get LOST. We wandered for at least 10 minutes before I figured out that you can not access B&C from the lake - you have to go through the lobby, past cape may cafe, and then out to B&C. Ok - lesson learned. We arrived at B&C and told the CM that we would take first available - so she game me the buzzer, and we sat at one of the outside tables. Cheryl went to find the ladies room and I called Scott to give him an update on the race and plans for the day. He is making me a new case to hold all my medals (I a handy BF!!! Since I am SO NOT HANDY!!).We took lots of photos at B&C - and Promise to post them - but first I need to take a break and pack my suitcase for my trip to Savannah tomorrow as well as finish laundry. Then, if I have time before Scott arrives to go to dinner or before my chat with the May girls tonight - I promise to convert and post... if not - tomorrow after I get to the hotel - they have free highspeed internet. |

| Re: Racing the Duck - Day zero!!! I soooo want to try O'Hana's! But Mr. Picky Eater (aka DH) wouldn't like it. Someday I'm going to go to WDW without him so I can enjoy eating at the restaurants I want to eat at! What a thoughtful thing for Scott to do building you a case for your medals! ![]() |
