| Re: Racing the Duck - Half Marathon wkd = pretrip good luck! I've been checking the 10 day weather predictions and it looks like we are going to have a good day for the race. If they are right, the start will be mid to high 50s and I'm hoping that it won't change much over the next hour and 45 minutes. The predicted high is 75, but I think we'll still be good in the morning. My biggest problem now is that I've been training in really cold upstate NY weather!! How will I do in the "heat"? Hope to see you there... |

| Re: Racing the Duck - Half Marathon wkd = pretrip Kim has inspired me to write a bit more - and this time I will go over our budget for the weekend. Cheryl is flying in to JAX from BWI on Southwest - free Rapid Rewards - $0.00 Terri is driving her car to WDW from Jacksonville with Cheryl as passenger - $15.00 one way - and Cheryl will pay $15.00 for return trip to JAX. Tolls on 417 each way - $5.00 (total $10.00) Resort - Wilderness Lodge - $150 a night for 3 nights - 450.00 (225 each). Park Passes - Cheryl bought a 4 day park hopper before the new system went into place ~200.00; Terri - Seasonal pass is still good - until the day I leave!!! HOWEVER - I will be buying my new voucher and Scott's on Saturday for our February trip ($200.00 each - which is now cheaper than a 3 day parkhopper!!!) Food - Saturday - Breakfast - who knows - junk on the highway probably - after the gym of course - $5.00 each Lunch - Not sure on this one - somewhere on property Dinner - 'OHana - $25.00 each after DDE discount, tax and tip Sunday - Race morning breakfast - granola bars, bread, peanut butter, jelly and bottled water in the room. Lunch - Beaches and Cream we hope - $15.00 Dinner - Yachtsman Steakhouse (thank heavens for DDE - ouch) Illuminations Cruise - $20 each (including tip) Monday - Breakfast - MK bakery!!! Lunch - Plaza Restaurant Dinner - Mama Melroses Fantasmic Package Tuesday - 1900 Park Fare breakfast - $18.00/ea before DDE, tax, tip Lunch - somewhere in a park or DTD. $12.00 I have $300.00 in cash - that is just for food and stuff - usually works out with me coming home with a few extra bucks. Which I better this time since I have the Scott trip in a month and Disneyland 3 weeks after than. Good thing I start teaching the Saturday after I get back from DL - I will NEED that $$!! ![]() |
