Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 Thanks for those kind words. Unfortunately, it looks like the next trip won't be until December 2005. We're counting the days.

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 Well, now we have to find Big Al and learn the song AND make fat Monica's! We have the big family trip this June and the kids range in age from 26 to 12, so it will be a whole lotta fun! Great report and I look forward to the next one.

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 I just read your trip report last night, and loved it! Thanks for posting! We'll be staying at the BWV in a 2 bedroom villa this coming Dec. - could you give me any more information about the villa itself, like was the location/view ok, and was it enough room for everyone?

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 Thanks for reading and for the kind words. The views at the 2 BR Boardwalk Villas will vary. We've had a view of the Porte Cochere (hope I spelled that right), Luna Park pool and one of the lagoon to MGM. We could see ToT from our balcony and catch some of the fireworks at the end of Fantasmic. I think a nice view is OK but I'm easily satisfied. Will it be enough room? You didn't say how many were in your party. They list the 2-BR as sleeping 8 but, IMHO, 6 is the max unless several are small children. The Master BR is very large with a huge King bed, chair, armoire, nightstand, etc. Adjacent to the MBR, there's a dressing room with sink/vanity, jacuzzi tub and a walk-in closet. The 'common' area has a full kitchen (full size fridge, range, microwave, toaster, etc.), and a LR with a pull out sofa (will sleep 2). There's a chair, armoire, full closet, stacked washer/dryer. The 2nd BR is a typical studio with a Queen bed, queen pull-out sofa, table and chairs, kitchenette, closet and a full bathroom. Hope that helps. I think you can find some pictures on www.allearsnet.com. Enjoy your trip.

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 Thanks so much for your help Steve! I was very curious about the views, but we are also pretty easily satisfied. I didn't think to say that our party is 4 adults and a 4-yr-old, so if you felt like there was enough room for 6 adults, I'm sure we'll be fine!! We've stayed at BWV once before, but it was quite a while ago and it was a grand villa with lots of family members. Your TR made me feel like we were right there again, strolling around the boardwalk!

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 The 2BR should provide plenty of room for your 4 adults and one child. I envy your stay in the Grand Villa - that's one of my goals. Have a great time. BTW... I have an older TR out here (from 2001) where I gave a fairly lengthy description of the 2BR villa. You may want to search that out.

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 Thanks for the tip about your past trip reports! So far I've only found back to 2002, so I'll have to check again later. I hope you get to stay at a Grand Villa sometime, it's just...wow... We had 10 adults and 3 kids in there and it never even felt crowded. Our view was right down over the main boardwalk which was a lot of fun, and we had a double-length balcony to hang out on. Good memories!!

Re: TR - 1/8-15/05 - BWVR \'The Whole Family Trip\' - Day 8 We had 12 people for our 2001 trip and stayed in 1-BR and 2-BR villas. Even if we had pooled those DVC points, there wasn't enough for the Grand Villa. I'm thinking that the next trip with a large group, we may try for 1 or 2 nights in the Grand Villa - just to try it once.

It took me 2 days to read your trip report but it was worth every minute of it. The things I think I think and the soap opera incident made me laugh out loud!
