[b] Off Kilter… and more EPCOT…

We continued our clockwise browsing and got another hot chocolate. As we approached Canada, we noticed it was almost time for Off Kilter to perform, so what better place to rest and drink???

Then, reluctantly, we continued our browsing… I really love the waterfall/rock setup in Canada…

Papa Noel tells of Canadian Christmas

We never got to eat here, they stayed fully booked with no walk-ups…

Japan from across the lagoon (with an island in the way)

The American Adventure from across the lagoon (with the globe parked for Illuminations)

[b] Dinner and EPCOT after dark….

We wandered towards the World Showcase Pavilion and the bus was just pulling up with the characters. Believe it or not, we just watched the people interact with them and didn’t take any pictures.

We were hungry, and decided to try to get something in Italy at Alfredo’s. So, we hopped on one of the Friendship boats and rode across the lagoon. We weren’t to hopeful when the man in front of me had a party of 6 and was told they would be able to handle them between 8:30 and 9:00PM, it was only 5PM… But, when I told them I had a party of two, they told us to have a seat and it would be 10-15 minutes

Potty stop for Jan and they were calling us to be seated.

Jan had Trittico di Pasta and I had the Bistecca. Unfortunately, for me, I forgot to ask about pork products in what I had, and probably should have gone with a basic noodle and/or fish dish. More on this in a bit… But they were both good and we ordered Dessert Sampler to share… Total was about $70 before tip…

After dinner, we browsed some more, killing time before our FP at TT… We stopped in China and bought a few things, then wandered through/around a few more of the countries until we got back to the Plaza. We headed for TT and it was fastpass time so we went on it.

As I’ve said before, I’m not much of a ride person… This would be the first time on this ride for me, Jan had ridden on it with some of our friends back in October. According to her, it was like I usually drive in my patrol car… It was a fun ride, however, the first time is a little spooky, especially when it’s dark and you’re doing 60+ MPH and all you see in front of you is darkness, no idea when/if/where there is a turn…

Of course, for a first for us together, we bought the photo…

That’s us in the back seat, me in the middle and Jan on my left (your right)

Now, off to Mouse Gear to get a few things…

Remember when I said I should have checked for pork in my dinner??? Well… First a little history. Jan’s religion is Seventh Day Adventist. They do not eat pork products. Therefore, since we have been together, I have not eaten pork products either, at least on purpose. When you do not eat pork, and then get some, it does bad things to your body. Needless to say, I really feel sorry for anyone that went into the bathroom near Mouse Gear when I was done, but I sure did feel better!!!!

Now, that you’ve had way too much information, back to the fun stuff…

After Mouse Gear, we headed for the bridge over the English Channel (as I call it) to claim a spot for Illuminations. We still had a little over an hour to go, but that wasn’t a problem as I had planned to play with the camera some more…

Here’s a few pictures taken before Illuminations. The camera was setting on something solid (a wall, trashcan, fence rail, etc… and I used the self timer to activate the shutter…

And these were taken from the bridge…

Bill, those photos are superb - especially the night-time shots of Epcot. I dream of one day taking photos like that!

That's exactly what Mark says whenever he goes on Test Track - he imagines it's exactly how he drives... and he's right!

Sorry about the pork reaction .

I love your photos - - especially the ones of Germany and Spaceship Earth!

And I think that was a smile I saw on your TT photo!
