What a fantastic tour! I am SO happy for you! I know how proud you must have been when he gave you such a compliment at the end of the tour!

The story about Dorothy had me in tears here at my desk. That is the kind of magic that makes me love Disney.

Re: Using My Powers for Good - 4/29-5/7 - Day 4 - Part 2a

Why part 2a, you ask? - Because Calder has volunteered to add a bit of his thoughts on Blizzard Beach (since I was elsewhere loving my KTTK tour!). I'm hoping that my DH will also add his comments soon.

From Calder:

We took the bus to Animal Kingdom and Blizzard Beach – there were many people going to BB that day.

The first thing we did was to get into the Cross Country Creek and we floated around on inner tubes. The kids were playing “bumper boats” with them and we kept on flinging ourselves into empty tubes and bumping them into other tubes. The adults were just sitting around, doing nothing but floating.

[Floating]

After a while, we went to the Teamboat Springs and did the family raft ride. Brian, Michael, me and my dad on one raft and Donna and Frank and Stephen on another. It was very fun. There were holes in the bottom of the raft and, at every bump, the water emptied out. We were spinning – Michael was screaming and Brian was laughing and acting funny. Daddy loved it. Every time Michael went backwards, a wall of water splashed up against us – it was fun.

We went to Snow Stormers – a single-rider slide on a mat – and we learned that you had to hang on and keep your elbows in on each curve or you’d bang your elbows. And don’t rest your chin on the curve of the mat, a bump in the run would make your chin get “smacked.”

Next we went to the Ski Patrol play area and tried to walk on the icebergs. It was hard to do, but we all made it across.

We did the T-bar slide. If you’re on the lower one and you don’t let go when it runs into the bell, you’ll fall off and smack into the water. It looked painful. Luckily, I let go before the T-bar hit the bell.
