Re: Using My Powers for Good - 4/29-5/7 - Pre Trip report Can you believe how little some CMs at CRO/GG know about what's going on in the world. I feel that's lack of training on Disney's part and sometimes lack of interest in keeping up with things on the CM's part. On a more pleasant note, you get prime viewing for Illuminations! ![]() I can't wait til you come back, so I can hear all about everything!

Re: Using My Powers for Good - 4/29-5/7 - Pre Trip report I have never read one of your trip reports, but I saw this one and decided to check it out. I am SO glad I did! It sounds like you have a very exciting trip planned. I'm especially excited that you got your Dad and his wife to come for a few days. I can't wait to hear all about their reactions to everything. I just have a feeling this is going to be a very special vacation. Now....must go find other Caldercup trip reports and start reading.....

Re: Using My Powers for Good - 4/29-5/7 - Pre Trip report Thanks everybody -- I'm sooooo excited. (I guess that's why I woke up at 4AM with the soundtrack to "Wishes" blaring in my head. I couldn't go back to sleep so I ended up at the computer.) <sigh> will Friday never come?! Eileen

Re: Using My Powers for Good - 4/29-5/7 - Pre Trip report So, I guess the only thing left to "pre-trip" report about is what we plan on doing while we're there: The Daily Plans Our Party Me (Eileen), 38, complete Disneyphile, 10th trip DS (Calder, also called CJ), 9, all-around-great-kid and Disney World addict, 7th trip DH (Bob), 39, long-suffering spouse of a WDW-aholic, 6th or 7th trip? DStepB (Frank), 37, my dad’s wife’s son, 2nd or 3rd trip? DStepSIL (Donna), 36, Frank’s wife, 2nd or 3rd trip? DStepN#1 (Brian), 12, Frank and Donna’s eldest, 2nd trip. DStepN#2 (Michael), 9, middle son, good friend of Calder, 1st trip!! DStepN#3 (Stephen), 5, youngest son, 1st trip!! DFather (Bud), 69, WDW skeptic and my targeted “convert”, 3rd trip. DStepMom (Joan), 6? (friends don’t mention ages!), wonderful Mom-Mom, 3rd or 4th trip? Friday, April 29 The Esterles get in around noon. I think they plan to go to the MK until it closes at 7 for Grad Night. They’ll probably go back to the resort to swim. The Lloyds get in around 11PM, so we’ll probably just unpack and crash. Saturday, April 30 MK for 9AM opening ceremony. WCC for a 1:30PM PS. We’re up in the air for the rest of the afternoon, but DisneyQuest or a water park are options – even if they’ll be crowded. Epcot for the fireworks or maybe MGM for Fantasmic Sunday, May 1st. Epcot for the morning Again, loose plans for the afternoon based on the crowds. We might choose to hop over to our sister resort and swim in the POFQ pool. (Calder misses Scales the Sea Serpent slide!) Wishes Cruise at 7:30PM Anyone with energy may go to MGM for the evening EMH. Monday, May 2nd 7AM Fishin’ Hole at PORiverside for the kids EILEEN DOES KTTK TOUR!! A water park!! MK added a SpectroMagic parade!! Or MGM for Fantasmic Tuesday, May 3rd MGM for morning EMH Chef Mickey’s 11:40AM for late breakfast. MK for afternoon or a DTD/swimming combo depending on the weather. The Lloyds do La Nouba – mad dash to MGM for Fantasmic if we haven’t done it already? Epcot for EMH evening hours if anyone’s up for it Wednesday, May 4th (Possible Pirates cruise for youngest 3 boys if any availability comes up.) Eileen hits outlets on way to pick up grandparents at airport. MGM for mid-afternoon until it closed at 4PM for press event. Boat to Epcot for Le Cellier PS at 5:40 Monorail to MK for EMH evening hours. Thursday, May 5th To AKL for Boma breakfast AK for whole day culminating in GG Safari Celebration Dinner at 5:15. We may attempt a mad dash to the MK for Spectro or maybe try to catch Fantasmic at the added 10PM show. (Don’t know if the kids can hold up that long.) Friday, May 6th EMH morning at MK Mid-day trip to DTD Epcot for evening and International Dinner and Illuminations Dessert Reception. Saturday, May 7th The Lloyds and the grandparents leave at 10:30 with layover in Atlanta to see nephews. The Esterles say last goodbye to their favorite things. They leave around 7PM. Sunday, May 8th – Mother’s Day Stay in bed all day with only occasional trips to the washer and dryer to transform stinky laundry back to wearable state! Well - that's it so far. Between now and Friday, I have to finish the packing and print boarding passes. (Un)fortunately, I have to work and Calder has school - which I guess will pass the day quickly. As soon as DH comes home from work, we'll dash to the airport and the adventure will begin. Bob will have his laptop, but I doubt I'll be able to do any "live" posting. We'll see..... Well, up-up-and-away, folks. I'll say hi to Mickey for you.... Eileen
