| Jillybean & Mary Devall\'s SuperDooper Surprise Mommy/Daughter trip *We\'re home* Well . . . I can blame this trip on Sarah (DopeyGirl) and Emilie because of how much their mother/daughter trip earlier this year touched me  . After reading Sarah’s fantastic trip report, I began secretly plotting a mother/daughter trip of my own  . A couple of nights after we returned from our long weekend at Disney in January, I approached DH about my plan . . . “Um . . .  since I have so much more vacation than you do (DH just started a new job last year) . . . and we’re in DVC . . . and we have annual passes, what do you think about me taking Mary Devall to Disney for a week in May?” His answer “Sure, that sounds great!” as if I had just asked him if he wanted some ice cream. I could not believe it! I immediately reached over to my bedside table, grabbed my Passporter and began filling in him on my preliminary plans. He just smiled. I had originally thought the first week of May, but when Tara informed me that she and the girls would be at WDW towards the end of the second week, then the second week it was. I couldn’t pass up a chance to meet some of you wonderful people!  The next day, I tried to book BCV, but they were full!  Uh oh, I was out of my comfort zone! I quickly regained my senses though when I remembered how much Passporters love The Wilderness Lodge and thankfully, the CM came back with “We can do that!” So, DD and I were booked from Monday, May 9 through Friday, May 13. The very next week . . . boom  . . . I discovered that I was pregnant (those  have magical powers!) I never even thought about canceling this trip - - as Sarah had with Emilie, this was going to be a surprise for Mary Devall. She didn’t know about it, so it would have been easy to cancel, but I also realized that this would be a perfect time for some mommy/daughter bonding before the baby. So . . . I booked a ton of character meals  knowing that this would give me a chance to rest and eat while DD enjoyed her beloved characters. I knew this trip was meant to be when more and more good things kept happening. Tara PM’ed me that they had room for us on an Illuminations cruise – how long do you think it took me to answer that PM??? It has been one of my dreams. Then the Delta flights that I was watching dropped over $100 in price, so our flights were set. A quick email to Tiffany Towncar bridged the final gap. So . . . what will we be doing during this mommy/daughter trip? Monday, May 9 Wake up Mary Devall  and tell her that she’s not going to daycare this week, but to Disney. DH will chauffer us to the airport on his way to work. Depart Columbia at 8:25. Entertain DD will a gigantic sticker book that I bought her until the seat belt light goes off and I can turn on her portable DVD player . Arrive Orlando at 9:40. Whisked to VWL by TTC!Check-in and then take the boat to MK. We’ll spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon there. Depending on how we’re holding up, we’ll either return to VWL for a swim (DD is not a napper) or stay for the parade. 5:40 p.m. 1900 Park Fare PS Return to MK for Spectromagic and Wishes at 9 and 10 p.m. (all of this subject to mommy and daughter staying awake). Tuesday, May 10 8:50 a.m. Princess Storybook Breakfast PS Spend the rest of the morning and early afternoon at Epcot. Then take the boat over to MGM. 4:10 p.m. Hollywood & Vine PS (Fantasmic package) Enjoy the rest of the day at MGM ending with Fantasmic at 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 9:30 a.m. Donald’s Breakfastosaurus PS Spend the rest of the morning at AK and then . . . Meet the famous Tara O’Hara at MK where we’ll hold her captive until she can’t take us anymore! 5:45 p.m. Crystal Palace PS EMH at MK Thursday, May 12 9:10 a.m. Cape May Café Character Breakfast and Passporter Meet with Montimouse and her family Back to AK for the rest of the morning and afternoon. We can either take an afternoon swim break back at VWL or stay at AK for the parade. 6:30 p.m. Garden Grill PS 8:00 p.m. Meet for Passporter Illuminations Cruise!!!  EMH at Epcot Friday, May 13 9:00 a.m. WCC PS 11:00 a.m. TTC picks us up for our 1:00 departure. We go through Atlanta on our way home (first connecting flight for DD!) and land in Columbia at 4 p.m. where DH will pick us up on his way home from work!Foremost, all of our park plans depend on how we're both doing. If we need a break, then we'll return to the resort for a swim or just quiet time. The main goal is just to have fun at our happy place - - smile and laugh a lot and come home with lots of memories!You guys are just the greatest with your love, support and help with even the smallest of questions. I feel blessed to have you in my life and I cannot wait to meet so many of you on this trip! Jill |

I am just glad you enjoyed my trip report and decided on girl time too!!! I take full blame for your decision to go . . . but, if you don't have a good time, then I take it back!!!  I definitely enjoyed our mommy/daughter trip in January . . . so much so that I talked DH in to another at the end of November!!!  I am really looking forward to the report when you get back!!!          |

FYI - you can turn on her DVD player when the plane reaches 10,000 feet - usually way before the seatbelt sign is turned off. |
