WOW! I just started reading your trip report! What a wonderful trip this will be! Be strong, keeping this secret will be hard now but sooooo worth it. I surprised my DD last month and the look on her face was priceless! It would be great if you could somehow get a picture of him when he realises what a sneak you've been!

Just getting caught up. Here's loads of pixies in hopes of a bargin being reached. And keep in mind that you DDE card is REALLY going to help with the cost of food. And maybe you could try out some of the newer places like the Tomorrowland Noodle Terrace that are not typical burger and fries.

Because of the uncertainty in my job situation at the moment, I am now making out a second "meal itinerary". I already have made all our Priority Seatings for the trip but, should the strike become a reality, then I will simply cancel these and use the backup meal itinerary instead. Here's where I can really use some help from you guys. With just a small number of exceptions, I'm very unfamiliar with the counter service restaurants at WDW. I'd really appreciate it if you knowledgable folks could recommend counter-service restaurants you really like at WDW. Once I then have both my meal agendas formulated, I'll post them in here and see what you think.

MK Casey`s Corner
DS Starring Rolls
AK Tusker`s (don`t forget the meal deal)
Epcot Tangerine Cafe.

We really enjoyed Flame Tree BBQ at AK and Pecos Bill's at MK. Good luck in your planning, and pixie dust for no strike!

Here's my choices:
MK - Peco's Bill's - we eat here everytime we go to WDW, we have never had a bad meal here, great chicken wrap, good burgers and a fantastic fixins bar.
DS - Pizza Planet has pretty good pizza, we also ate at Rosie's but I don't remember much about it, don't remember it being bad but don't remember it being exceptionally good either.
EPCOT - can't help you here, we have only eaten sit down meals here.
AK - The only counter-service place I have eaten at here was Restaurantosaurus for lunch and I would not recommend it. Our burgers were burned and the service wasn't the best but maybe that was an off day.
DTD - I loved Earl of Sandwich.
Sorry I couldn't help more but we do most of our counter-service at whatever resort we are staying at. Good luck deciding and I hope there is no strike so you won't have to worry about it!!

Okay, first off, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to all you kind folks who sent me all that pixie dust as it seems to have done the trick. Our union has reached a settlement with the government and it looks like there will not be a strike after all. There still has to be a general vote on it but, with the union recommending that its members accept this deal, it should pass with no problems whatsoever.

I'm so excited because now I can go full speed ahead with my vacation plans without any niggling doubts or worries clouding the issue.
