Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *The Condo and Updates*

Cool vacation home! We were looking into that option at first but decided on Pop Century.

My dad ordered one of those canvas luggage carriers years ago when our minivan did not have a luggage rack. Of course I do not know exactly how yours will be made, but I wanted to offer a piece of advice based on what we learned.

Our luggage carrier bag had 4 tie-downs, 2 on each side. Each tie-down consisted of a double strap. Once we got out on the highway we discovered that the wind at highway speeds caused the double straps to vibrate against each other, causing a very annoying noise inside the van. Of course my mom was ultra prepared and we improvised a solution. We used some heavy-duty plastic twist-ties to hold the double straps to each other so they would not vibrate. Worked great.

One more thing is that the luggage bag was water resistant, not water-proof. So we put our suitcases inside large garbage bags which kept them nice and dry. Although it was pretty embarassing when we unpacked at the hotel, to have all our stuff in garbage bags! But it served its purpose.

Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *Other Parks? And Updates!*

The easiest way to get to central FLA/Orlando from I95 is to use I4 which meets up with I95 right near the Daytona International Speedway. I4 goes northeast-to-southwest across Central Florida from Daytona to Tampa, and passes right through Orlando and right next to WDW and Sea World.
Orlando is about 60 miles from Daytona.
That's so cool about the 2day flex tickets.
Tampa is only about 90 miles from Orlando on I4, so it's a bit of driving (90 minutes or so each way) to do in one day, but, like you said, it's worth thinking about since you'll be in Florida for awhile.

Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *Other Parks? And Updates!*

Your trip sounds like it will be amazing! I'd love to go on a trip like that! (Especially if Mom & Dad were footing the bills!) One suggestion:

You have a lot scheduled for every day but you may find that you need to rethink your plans as you go. It is easy to get so busy that it leaves you no time to relax! You are young so probably have a lot of stamina but your parents may get theme-park burnout especially with such a long trip! Of course, they may be just as energetic as you sound so I may be wrong! I wouldn't suggest buying more tickets for more parks until you get there and really determine the pace that everyone wants to keep.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your TR! Hopefully you have plans for "after-the-trip"! I'm always a little sad after everything is over to have nothing else to plan! As you well know....the planning is AT LEAST half the fun!

Good luck that the time flies quickly!

The Seaworld / Busch Gardens 2 day / 2 park ticket is great. I use it every year. And if you don't want to drive, you can take Mears to both parks
