Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *I\'m So Nervous...* ![]() Don't worry Melissa, everything is going to turn out fine. I have lived with TMJ for 15 years....you should hear me eat pizza! My mom & dh can't stand to sit by me Your Dad is doing the right thing by going to the doctor, sounds like he takes good care of himself, and there's nothing you can do to prevent kidney stones! (unless they are the calcium type...but that's another story) Has your Mom had her back checked? (Can you tell I'm an er nurse? ) Sounds like y'all need to travel with some pain meds for "just in case!" Anyway, I am rambling here, maybe I should've just pm'd you--Ha! & to your entire family & Oreo! Hope y'all are feeling better soon! ![]()

Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *I\'m So Nervous...* I hear you on the TMJ. I have problems with that. Ok, so I am a hypochondriac (so much so that I had to stop drinking caffeine and had to learn relaxation techniques because occassionally I will lose all sense of reason and panic...not fuN!). Anyways. As far as TMJ goes, my jaw clicks a ton, I have lots of earaches, headaches...not so much, and the scalp thing. It's weird, but there is a muscle up there that is directly related to your jaw muscle. For me, it always feels like something is pulling at my hair, so I have to loosen it etc. It tingled for awhile and then stopped...now it just feels like something is pulling at it. Also, I hurt my back and neck really bad falling onto a concreted floor from about 3 ft. in the air, once it healed a girl jumped on my back, repulled the muscles, and then two days later I got rear ended. All that combined made the TMJ deal worse. Oh yea, don't clench your teeth!!. I do that..and well..it tightens the jaw muscle. It's best to keep it all relaxed. Also, my jaw moved and I spent all of my camp only being able to close my mouth halfway (well only one side of my teeth touched). All I can say is: Be glad it is only TMJ problems. Luckily it is nothing much! I hear where you are coming from for the pains, and then the throat closing up, yep been there done that...I had that a couple months ago...rather weird. Although it wasn't really closing, I think I was just imagining it, but whatever! I am sending you TONS of pixies...and of course...lots of prayers!! ![]()

Re: Our Month-Long Trip To Orlando! *Updates and Changes* I know what you mean. We leave next Thursday to start the trip by going to GA for a wedding. I have 3 more days at work and 10 days worth of things to get done. I have started to pack "in my mind" but hope to have it really started and maybe even done by the 4th. Want to spend some time celebrating and if it's not too hot go to the fireworks. Hope to see you sometime the week we are down there. Will you be going to the Ghirdelli PP meet on 7/12?
