| Re: Annabel’s Solo Trip to Disney World Mark II – Pre-trip Report <font color="purple"> 9 days to go and how to scare a postman in 2 easy steps ![]() A new surprise arrived today – a total surprise that I wasn’t at all expecting. I managed to frighten the postman when I took the post from him - this is how to achieve what I did: 1. Take the envelope and say thank you, then notice who it's from and start jumping up and down on the spot yelling. 2. Give the poor man a hug before you run inside and shut the door. I guarantee you this works ![]() So, I open the global priority envelope and it's from my travel agent, which surprises me as I’d been told I wouldn’t receive anything, being an international visitor. I tore open the envelope to find…drumroll please…my Disney’s Magical Express booklet and luggage tags Woohooo!! I was not expecting those at all! The booklet is a great souvenir. Once I calmed down, I noticed that where my flight information should’ve been it said no information had been provided. I knew I’d emailed my TA the information to pass on to Disney so was slightly worried. I emailed Merrie and she phoned Disney to make sure they had the flight information. They had the information, it transpired that they’d received the details after the tags were printed out and sent. Phew Along with the DME booklet was a certificate for a free lanyard and pin Cool! So, 9 days to go and I’m still nervous. My case is still too full. My itinerary and PS’s are all finished Even DH has a copy of my itinerary as he requested, so he knows where I’ll be if he’s missing me My Click4Prepaid.com account is topped up for phone calls and I have $43 on it It’ll be cheaper for me to ring DH. Florida is 5 hours behind the UK so I’ll be ringing DH before he goes to work (if I’m still awake) and during my afternoon breaks. My itinerary looks something like this: Thursday 7th – departure day: DH will drop me at the airport. My flight leaves Gatwick at 12.30pm. I should land at MCO around 4.40pm Florida time. I’ll take DME to Pop Century, check in and dump my carry-on bag. It’s evening EMH at Epcot so I intend on going here first. Dinner at Beaches and Cream is planned, or if I’m feeling lazy, I’ll have “fish and chips in England” instead, followed by Illuminations, my favourite night-time spectacular. Friday 8th: Breakfast at Pop. EMH at Magic Kingdom has been moved from the AM to PM but I still intend on going to Magic Kingdom first thing. PS for lunch at Tony’s Town Square at 12pm. Back to Pop to chill out and then meet Christie (and possibly Jana) around 2pm. Back to Magic Kingdom for EMH with dinner possibly at Casey’s Corner. Spectromagic and Wishes! Saturday 9th: Morning EMH at Animal Kingdom Lunch at the Flame Tree BBQ is planned. Afternoon break at Pop before heading to Downtown Disney for some afternoon/evening shopping. Dinner at Earl of Sandwich. A lazy evening at Pop is planned or maybe I'll go to the movies. Sunday 10th: Lazy morning at Pop, swimming etc. Off to Magic Kingdom, then take the monorail to explore the Grand Floridian resort for the first time. 3.20pm PS at Garden View Lounge with Jana, Becki and Tenya. Evening – open. Either a visit to Fort Wilderness to look round and a bite to eat at Trail’s End, or I’ll head to MGM for Fantasmic. Monday 11th: EMH at Epcot. Early breakfast at either Pop or the Electric Umbrella. 11.50am PS at Le Cellier. PM break at Pop as usual. EMH at Magic Kingdom PM. Dinner at either Cosmic Ray’s or Pecos Bill’s. Tuesday 12th: Morning EMH at MGM. Lunch PS at 12.30pm at Sci-Fi Dine-In. PM – Downtown Disney for some shopping and dinner at the Earl of Sandwich. 9pm meet at Ghiradelli’s. Weds 13th: Morning EMH at Magic Kingdom. Quick ride on the TTA, then off to the Polynesian and breakfast at the Kona Café 9.30am. Back to Magic Kingdom before heading back to Pop for PM break. Off to the TTC to take the resort monorail back to the Polynesian and explore before my 5.30pm PS at ‘Ohana. MK meet for Spectromagic and Wishes later on. Thursday 14th: Lazy morning at Pop followed by last minute shopping at Downtown Disney if I want anything. Lazy afternoon before heading to Epcot for evening EMH. No PS, I intend to snack my way around World Showcase. Illuminations for the last time this trip. Friday 15th: Check out before 11am. Head to Downtown Disney and Virgin’s check-in by La Nouba and leave my luggage. Head to a park to say goodbye (probably Magic Kingdom). Take DME to MCO, eat at Chilis for dinner (if my stomach is ok), shop a bit then head for my gate. My flight is due to leave MCO at 7.40pm and arrive at Gatwick Saturday 8.40am UK time. The itinerary looks a little rigid but I’m a flexible person so apart from PS’s and planned meets, everything is subject to change somewhat. I am still waiting for more excitement to kick in – go away nerves! next: 6 days to go - will I ever finish my packing??? </font> |

| Re: Annabel’s Solo Trip to Disney World Mark II – Pre-trip Report Hi, Annabel, I am so glad you are taking another solo trip. It was your wonderful TR of your last solo trip that I was willing to approach your DH and you. Meeting you at MNSSHP was one of the highlights of our trip. My "Ladies" still talk about how I stopped a stranger because I knew his wife from the internet . I know you will have a great time. Here's for an easy flight.Best wishes, Lynnette |
