| Honeymoon - 4th July to 26th July 2005. ***updated 11/8/05*** Well here starts the monster description of our 3 week honeymoon, in the beautiful state of Florida, but more importantly in the Most Magical Place on Earth - Seaworld..........just kidding, please don't hurt me! I love the Mouse honest. Anyway, the first big surprise started in sleepy old Brockenhurst, Hampshire England. My parents were driving us to the airport, to save us parking the car at the airport for 3 weeks. When we walked outside the hotel, there was a huge white limo, waiting to whisk us off to the airport! How cool is that. So on the way up we had champagne and watched Shrek, which we thought was awfully civilised. We arrived at the airport, and having checked in online at the hotel, we simply handed our luggage over and wandered off in to the lounge. The next surprise came on the flight. My new wife (Rachel) had arranged for a bottle of champagne and a cake for me, for midflight. That was really nice, only they didn't deliver it early enough as I had to driv ethe other side, so we just looked at the champagne and ate the cake (we actullay shared it with another newly-wed couple sat behind us who were married the same day as us in kent!!!!) The flight went without a glitch and I watched Robot's about 10 times. We landed in sunny olando about 1630, and went to the Dollar rental place to pick-up our hire car. This time it was my turn to surprise my wife, I upgraded our rental car to a lovely convertible, a Chrysler Touring Sebring, which I have to say was rather posh! We went to the hotel got settled in and then went out for some dinner. We went to the lovely Denny's, and I introduced Rachel to the wonders of American Cuisine (please don't think I am being sarcastic at all, I love it) ![]() |

| Day 1 - Tuesday 5th July 2005. After having a bit of a false start getting up at 0400 o'clock (jet lag and all that) we got up about 0700, and eagerly got dressed and headed off to the world! We arrived in the car park at the Magic Kingdom at 0810 and then got on the tram to take us to the TTC. I decided to take Rachel on the Steam Boats for her first journey to the Magic Kingdom. We had a lovely time, and her face the first time Cinderella's Castle came in to view was unforgetable .After we had gone through the lovely process of having our bags searched and our fingerprints taken, we finally walked in to the most magical place on earth. The first thing we came accross was Chip and Dale, signing autographs and taking piccys with everyone. Dale spied Rachel and my t-shirts which had bride and groom on them, and jumped on us. We had loads of lovely photo's with them including one where he is proposing to Rachel which I thought was rather rude as we were newly weds! Anyway, once a dragged Rachel away from here affair with the Rescue Rangers, we made our way up Main Street USA. Rachel was still walking in silence, mouth open trying to take it all in. We had a PS booked for Crystal Palace at 1005, for the character breakfast with the Hundred Acre Woods lot, so we just had time to watch Cinderellabration, which was excellent. We went over the Crystal palace about 0955, and checked in, we were seated with a glass of OJ by 1000, and happily tucking in to our breakfast, watching as Tigger and Eeyore got slowly closer to us. After lots of lovely breakfast, juice, tea, coffee and cuddles with 4 of our favourite Disney Characters, we ventured back out in to the parks to begin our tour. I am on nights at work tonight (I take the emergency calls for the fire service in Hampshire) so I have got to go for my dinner, but I will be back later to continue the story. Sorry people! ![]() |

[/ QUOTE ] That Dale is a troublemaker. When we had our anniversary cake last year at the Garden Grill he asked us what it was for, we told him, and he proceded to attempt to feed me cake like you would do on your wedding day, he tried to stick it on my nose. I caught on real quick and stopped But it was quite entertaining ![]() Can't wait to hear more about your honeymoon...honeymooning at WDW is the BEST! ![]() |

| Re: Honeymoon - 4th July to 26th July 2005. ***updated 4/8/05*** Our first stop, was the Enchanted Tiki Room (Under New Management). We both really liked it, but as I had been to Disney before, I remembered the old one and I think I preferred that, but hey ho - to the Jungle Cruise we go!!!! As I say, the Jungle Cruise is next on the agenda. Again we both really loved it, but I’m not convinced DW got all the jokes. I managed to pre-empt one of the guides jokes about Shirley Temple, so she just handed me the microphone and sat down in a huff. That impressed DW no end as you can imagine. After the Jungle Cruise we decided to go and get a FP for Great Thunder Mountain, so we moseyed on over to Frontier Land to collect our tickets. After this, we had a little time to spare so we went back next to the Jungle Cruise and tried Aladin’s Flying Carpet. After having a drink and the obligatory restroom stop for ‘the little lady’ we used our FP for Great Thunder Mountain. How satisfying is that - to walk past all those hundreds of hot sweaty people, down the left hand lane of the queue, FP securely clutched in my fingers, and walk straight on to the ride! Next we wandered around the back of the castle, through the beautiful little cottages and house of fantasyland, only to find ourselves at the entrance to one of favourite ‘gentile’ rides – It’s a Small World. We absolutely loved this ride, and on this occasion the upgrade was definitely worth it. Rachel had been on this ride in Disneyland Paris, but that pales in comparison and we proceed to take loads of piccy’s for the album/scrapbook. We moved on through fantasyland, Rachel trying still to take everything in – doing her owl impression as her spins around feverishly, all still with the look of a small child on her face – ah, bless her little cotton socks. Stitch’s Great Escape is our next stop, after a little drink and restroom stop. Again, I had been on the old version of this ride Alien Escape (which scared the wotsits out of me by the way) but thought this version was much more children friendly, even though stitch does feel the need to demonstrate his digestive abilities which was lovely! After this, quite a long day for our first in the world, we had a little wander down Main Street and have our Photopass pictures developed then it is was off to hotel to change and head out for dinner. |
