| Amanda’s Trip of Firsts at WDW (9/18/05-9/30/05) Pre-Trip Report - LONG I’ve been writing trip reports for myself for many, many years; however, this will be the first time I’ve shared a trip report outside of my family. Hopefully, you’ll all enjoy. I’ll also apologize now as I can sometimes be a bit wordy. A little background…This is my first solo trip to Walt Disney World. I’ve always traveled with family before now. My last trip was in Nov/Dec of 2002 with my Mom, Dad and youngest nephew. Since that time both of my parents have passed away and the rest of my family are not as crazy about WDW as I am. They just can’t understand how I can spend so much money to go somewhere I’ve been many times before. What do I do now? It’s just me and I’m a little worried I won’t have as much fun if I don’t have a crowd of people with me. WDW is my favorite place to be, but can I do it alone? Well, I’m going to find out, because I’m heading to Florida on September 18th ready or not! Now that I’ve got myself ready to go, what am I going to do? Well, since it’s my first solo trip why not try other things for the first time too? My Itinerary All new things for me are preceded by * September 18, 2005 Leave Phoenix at 8:35am on a non-stop flight to Orlando. Arrive in Orlando at 3:40pm Pick up rental car from Alamo *This is the first time I’ve rented from Alamo Pop Century *This is the first time I will be staying at Pop Century or a value resort September 19, 2005 Sea World - Ride the rides and see the shows until 2:30pm *Check-in for the Beluga Interactive Program (swimming with Beluga Whales) at 4:30pm September 20, 2005 Universal Studios *Shrek 4D *The Mummy (if I’m brave enough) *Men in Black September 21, 2005 Check out of Pop Century very early in the morning Check in at the Contemporary to begin my package Staying in a Tower Room *On the Dream Maker Gold Package (I booked in July of 2004 so I’m on the old plan) *Magic Kingdom to take the Keys to the Kingdom Tour Magic Kingdom *Cinderella’s Royal Table for Dinner *View Wishes *Enjoy Evening Extra Magic Hours *Mickey’s Philharmagic *Stitch’s Great Escape September 22, 2005 *Kona Café for Breakfast Epcot *Soarin’ *Mission: Space Chefs de France for Lunch Dinner at Coral Reef View Illuminations *Enjoy Evening Extra Magic Hours September 23, 2005 *Animal Kingdom for the Backstage Safari Animal Kingdom *Tusker House for lunch Artist Point for Dinner September 24, 2005 *Parasailing at the Contemporary Downtown Disney Rainforest Café for Lunch Shopping – notice this is nothing new for me !Fulton’s Crab House for Dinner *Cirque du Soleil (9:00pm, Section 206 Seat 8A) September 25, 2005 Chef Mickey’s for Breakfast Disney MGM Studios *Voyage of the Little Mermaid *Lights, Motor, Action Extreme Stunt Show *Sci-Fi Diner for Lunch Yachtsman Steakhouse for Dinner *View Fantasmic! *Enjoy Evening Extra Magic Hours September 26, 2005 *Epcot to take The UnDiscovered Future World tour Epcot Electric Umbrella for Lunch Teppanyaki for Dinner Maybe Illuminations again September 27, 2005 Animal Kingdom Rainforest Café for Breakfast Animal Kingdom *Flame Tree Barbeque for Lunch *Enjoy Evening Extra Magic Hours Le Cellier for Dinner September 28, 2005 Disney-MGM Studios *Starring Roles Bakery *Hollywood Brown Derby for Lunch Kona Café for Dinner September 29, 2005 Magic Kingdom 1900 Park Fair for Breakfast Peco’s Bill for Lunch Concourse Steakhouse for Dinner September 30, 2005 Concourse Steakhouse for Breakfast Check out from Contemporary Drive to airport Depart Orlando at 1:20pm Arrive in Phoenix at 2:50pm So those are my plans. As you can tell I plan on using my Gold Plan to it's fullest.
