| Re: Our Laid-Back, Completely-Stuffed-with-Free-Food Trip Report! Day 2 Great trip report! I love reading all your little inside comments. I especially liked the one about flying with Della Reese. Too funny! ![]() I'm also sorry for your loss. But I'm glad your DH could be there with her for a little while. |

| Re: Our Laid-Back, Completely-Stuffed-with-Free-Food Trip Report! Day 3...Finally! Epcot Day! We're off to Epcot in the early morning and try to get to Spaceship Earth. Meanwhile, there are about a go-zillion marathoners or triatholoners or something who are running through Epcot. Nothing is roped off, there are just orange road cones and cast members. All of us tourists are just supposed to duck and dodge in between runners. Ok. WHY are we having a marathon through a park all day? I mean, I know that it's a big deal and all, but argh. Anyway, I sprint through the runners and the crowd (cheering as I go so as not to look like a bad sport)and we make our way to Spaceship Earth. I love it, but I can't help but think about the Passporter who got stuck in the ride for two hours. I just know that's going to happen to us. It doesn't, as it were. Ok, last month, I told my friend Cassandra how to get everywhere in the world over the phone and now I can't find my way to the friggin' Land. We wander FOREVER. My dad, who hasn't been to Disney in 15 years, is the one who finally gets us there. I LOVE Soarin' but you should definitely try to get a seat on the front row because it's kind of weird with people's feet hangin over you while you glide through an orange grove. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE Putty as the "opening act". If we crash, are we all going to hell? Or is that just Elaine? Anyway, after a trip to Mousegear (in which my Daddy buys me a cute little Stitch with magnets in his hands and feet to hang on my purse -- thanks, Daddy! ) we head over to MGM. I don't usually like MGM, but you know how things are more fun with some people? Well, yeah, that. No offense to cute little DH, but MGM is way more fun with mom and dad. I think because they haven't seen everything. They haven't been since it first opened, so practically everything is new to them. And will still be new to Dad on his next trip, since he just naps through EVERY SHOW. BTW...see if you guys can help me with this: in Muppet Vision 3D, there's a fish in a bird cage. I try and try to figure out if this is a pun like "A net full of jello", but either it's nothing or I'm stupid. Anybody know? (A sea of hands go up at computers all over the planet. Hands belonging to people who are much quicker than me.) Ok, Mom knows she wants to do RnRC, but isn't sure about ToT. We make it through RnRC and she LOVES it, so we decide to do ToT while she's still got her nerve up. She spends the entire time in the line trying to bargain with people, willing to give them her firstborn...me, if they'll trade with her if she gets placed in the front row. Anyway, we make it through that ride too and have to buy the pic. Mom looks like she's about to lose consciousness in it. The strong Ross women! Oh...and after some wandering an shopping, it's time to go to Fantasmic! I've never been to Fantasmic because, like I mentioned before, J and I just usually hate MGM and don't want to stay long enough to see it. (We'll see later that fate doesn't seem to want us to see it together, anyway). It's stinkin' awesome! I think it might be tied with Wishes for me!! I didn't know it involved so many characters! After Fantasmic, we head over to The 50's Prime Time Cafe. I'm just praying that we have a good server. You never know. Some of them really like to play it up and some are just so so. We got lucky. Aunt Mary, with the cutest little oriental accent, just makes our night. She is completely ok with me and mom sharing an appetizer and meal and dessert. Dad gets in trouble for talking on his phone with my uncle-- she takes it away from him ("Hey. Gimme the phone.")and tells Uncle Collin that she loves him but that he'll just have to call back later! She also loads up about 30 green beans onto dad's fork for an airplane bite. She's too cute!! This is mom and dad's last night, so we need to do a little shopping. Mom really wants to get something for both me and Jason. For me, a Kermit charm for my italian charm bracelet. And once we get back to the hotel, she gets Jason an autograph book (we want to frame character signatures for our future nursery...no, we're not expecting yet )(Hey. It's 3/25/06...and we ARE expecting now, but we weren't then...just so we're all on the same proverbial page...Ok, continue...), but when she hands me the bag, there's a little extra surprise for...ME! A cute little Stitch with mouse ears and a Mickey bar! Awwww. Thanks, Mommy. We're all a little bummed now, because early in the morning it'll be back to reality for them. Still, they're excited to get back to the kid they love most: their chihuahua. The snore spray quits working at around 4:45 in the morning, but I decide to be a decent daughter and suffer through. Still...that 5:30 alarm took forever to get there! Next up...bye mom and dad , Hello Disney Quest! |
