I would love to Splash Mtn - I know it's a shock me being such a chicken. DH doesn't like to walk around in soggy clothes. Now that i know it's not a very wet ride maybe I can convince him to go on it. It's also interesting about how hot and crowded it is. I've heard about WDW in the summer but have never experienced it. We've never had to wait more than 10 minutes and hot was 85 degrees. Not too bad! Thanks for writing the details! |

| Re: Our Month-Long Trip to Orlando // Day 13, Part 1 :: Grim Grinning Ghosts - Updated 11/6 Splash Mountain is one of my favorites, also. I love all the work that went into creating this. The first time I rode I was pleasantly surprised by how long the ride lasted. I thought it would be similar to other log flume rides, so I didn't expect all the other smaller drops before the big one. Also, I like how the ride isn't over after the big drop, you've still got a little ways to go. Melanie and I rode this 3 times in a row during extra magic hours one night. The first two times, we only got a little splash of water on the big drop. But the last time we got wet - not soaked, but almost. We were sitting on the third row of the boat every time. The difference? On our last trip was the only time somebody sat on the row behind us. So I guess the extra weight in the boat caused a larger splash. |

| Re: Our Month-Long Trip to Orlando // Day 13, Part 2 :: Gotta Loe Those Redneck Bears! - Updated 11/7 I have to agree with you about POTC at WDW, but the version at Disneyland completely rocks! I also feel the same about the original tiki room at Disneyland, the under new management thing was cute, but just not the same! Keep your report comin'--you've convinced us to try Universal on our next trip already! |
