Great update! SO sorry about the scare with Molly, thank God she was found and OK. Sometimes things just happen, especially when you're in such a crowded place. Don't feel like a bad Mom, at all. The girls are too cute! I love the pictures from Chef Mickey's... what a view!

Stacey, I just caught up on your TR (I haven't had any time since end of November) I loved it!!!!! How scary losing the girls (I know I've been there). I'm so glad it didn't take you long to find them!!! Danny got away from me in the Disney Store, and it took me 5 minutes to find him. I also begged the CMs to close the doors, but they wouldn't (they wouldn't even help me, just looked at me like I was an idiot). It was the scariest 5 minutes of my life-- and then I found him, doing jumping jacks in front of the big screen. Don't feel like a bad mom!! Great TR, can't wait for more!!!

Re: The Big Birthday Bash Trip Report - Thread 2 - Updated 11/29 - Day 5 EPCOT!!!

Saturday, November 12, 2005 Molly’s Birthday - Part 2

When we got off Stitch we decided to leave Tomorrowland since it was getting pretty crowded and I was still pretty shaken up by the losing Molly incident. My Mom & Dad had left us while we were waiting for the Stitch & Incredibles greet and they said to give them a call when we were on our way over to Frontierland. My Dad wanted us all to see The Country Bear Jamboree together. We stopped on the way for another picture of the girls in front of the castle.

While we were on our way over to Frontierland my Dad called to tell me that they had just gotten a phone call from my cousin telling them that my Aunt, who was pretty sick with cancer, was in intensive care. After that call we hurried over to meet my parents so I could see how my Mom was handling it (it’s my Mom’s sister) and they were talking about leaving the park right then to start driving home (in the end they stayed over and left at 6:00 a.m. the next day). My Dad said that he and my Mom were going to go and get something to eat to talk about what they were going to do. Jimmy, the kids and I stood near The Country Bear Jamboree and watch the Share a Dream Come True Parade while we waited for them.

Ariel & Eric

Flora, Fauna & Merriweather

When the parade was over my parents came back and told us they had decided to stay so we went into the Country Bear Jamboree, it was the holiday version and I have to say that I much prefer the regular version to the holiday one for some reason. The kids seemed to enjoy it though. As we were leaving the Country Bear Jamboree Katie asked if we could go on Pirates of the Carribean one last time. Since it is my favorite ride in the Magic Kingdom and I knew it was almost time for us to leave it was a no-brainer, POTC it was! I suggested that we get fastpasses first for Mickey’s Philharmagic since we hadn’t done that yet and I knew it was something both the kids and my parents would enjoy. My Dad and I walked over and got the fastpasses and met everyone else at POTC. As we walked up to the entrance, Molly started jumping up and down and yelling Pirates Pirates so it must have really made an impression on her smart kid! I absolutely this ride and was glad that it was one of the last attractions I would see in WDW!

When we came out of POTC we saw Captain Hook and Shannon & Katie got in line to see him (we thought he would be too much for Molly & Erin decided she didn’t want to get in the picture) while we were waiting Molly fell asleep in the stroller but I am not really sure how she managed to sleep like this.

Captain Hook was awesome!! While we were standing in line Shannon said to me that she wanted to try to find Peter Pan after we saw Captain Hook and when Captain Hook heard her say Peter Pan he looked up real quick and shook his finger at her! Shannon thought that was hysterical (I did too)! When it was our turn he was still playing it up and threatening her with his Hook so Shannon said “hey Mom where’s your watch” and Captain Hook covered his ears in horror.

When he signed his name he wrote Tink and then drew a line through her name and then signed his name underneath.

He was a lot of fun and really got into his character, I love it when the characters seem to be having as much fun as the kids. I asked a CM where Peter Pan was and they said he was in Neverland that day , Shannon was really disappointed. They said that Wendy would be out in about 15 minutes but Shannon didn’t want to wait if Peter wasn’t going to be there too so we headed over to Mickey’s Philharmagic.

As we walked by the stockades the kids had to get the traditional pictures there (sometimes I really wish I had one of these at my house) .

We finally made it to Mickey’s Philharmagic just as our fastpass time opened up. Everyone really loved this, the 3D effects are great and again Molly was trying to pick all the stuff out of the air. My Dad really raved about this one when we were done. After MP we were all pretty tired and decided that we were ready to go back to the resort. My Mom & Dad said that they wanted to go to Downtown Disney for some shopping since they were leaving so early the next day and Erin went with them. We took a couple of last pictures of the three younger girls in front of the castle

Last castle picture November, 2005

and I took pictures of Main Street as we walked down it for the final time this trip.

Main Street again (this one is a little blurry because Jimmy wouldn’t let me stop)

Emporium

Firehouse (I always have to take a picture of this because my Dad is a retired Fire Chief)

We hopped the monorail back to the Contemporary to get our van

Katie, Molly & Shannon on the monorail

and drove to POFQ to eat at their food court since they accept the DDE card and our food court didn’t but it was a waste of time because Jimmy forgot to give the card to the cashier but it was still nice to see POFQ since that is where we had always stayed before. When we arrived back at our room we found our dolls waiting anxiously for our return in the window! (Our Mousekeepers were awesome).

The kids really got a kick out of that (and our Mousekeepers got an awesome last day tip!)

We relaxed for a little while and then started packing. Around 9:00 p.m. my Mom came to our room and Jimmy & I went to Downtown Disney for some last minute souvenir shopping with our AP discount.

Just catching up. Great trip report Stacey. Captain Hook was great when we were there in 2002 also because he was really acting mad and stamping his foot and wouldn't get next to my dd & Mr. Smee for a picture and I couldn't figure out why until we realized that my dd was wearing her Tinker Bell tshirt. He finally stood next to her for a picture and then stamped his foot and signaled for her to leave. It was a riot.
