Re: The \"Unexpected Excuse for a Holiday Trip\" Trip - Pre-trip 12/5 .........continued from previous post After we corralled the kids out of there, it was potty break time, so we headed back over near Lights, Motors, Action to use the restroom. While we were resting on the benches, out appeared Mulch, Sweat and Shears If you haven’t seen these guys, and enjoy rock music, I’d highly recommend them! They put on a great show as usual Matt videoed the entire set, and they really played up to the camera. By now it was close to 2:30, so it was time to head back to the room. A quick tram ride back to our car, and we were back at AKL in no time at all! We were greeting with the kids stuffed animals all set up again! It was just quiet time today in the room, no swimming because Alexa had her face painted (and it was only in the low 60s). Matt and Colin snoozed after they played with the new Legos. Alexa played with her Legos and Clikets. I updated my Passporter. We roused everyone by 6, and were heading out the door to catch the bus to Epcot. I had wanted to see the Candlelight Processional tonight, and we didn’t do the dining package this year. On the way to the Land to check the line for Soarin’, we came upon the light up walkway in front of Innovations. I hadn’t remembered these ones from our previous trips, and the kids were quite enthralled with them. The line for Soarin’ was too long, so we decided to eat at Season’s in the Land. This would be our first time here, as it was built in April, but I think it opened a week or two after our trip. We ended up at the Asian food area, and got a Chicken Chile Bowl, and entrée with two sides (which I don’t recall at this point what they were, other than a beef dish and rice), a key lime pie, some worms in dirt for the kids, and some California rolls from the grab and go section. Along with some drinks, it came to $35. The soup and entrée were quite good. Colin didn’t want his worms in dirt, so Alexa ate both The key lime pie had the right flavor, but just wasn’t there. It was more like key lime mousse, not key lime pie. Rather disappointing. After dinner, we headed out toward the World Showcase. Alexa wanted to finish her mask, and we only had to stop at Canada and we were done with those Once we completed that, it was past 7, and I was getting nervous about getting a good seat for the CP. We hightailed it over and saw the line just went on, and on, and on. Yikes!! We made it to the back of the line and waited, and waited some more. I thought with it a Monday night, that it would be relatively quiet. Apparently not The woman manning the line told us that we’d have to ditch the strollers, they weren’t allowed inside. No problem, but we weren’t going to wait in line for 30 minutes without them. Then she told us again. And again. I think she was having short term memory issues, or at that time of night, everyone just blends in together Thankfully, we made it in, and were seated right in the back row on the left side of the theater. Too far away for any good shots, but at least we could see and hear without issue. It was a fantastic show. Eartha Kitt was doing her last stint, and she was great. She threw in some of her Catwoman purrs, and it was quite funny! She was enjoying herself. The kids also did well with the long show, although they were more antsy this time then when we saw it last year. After the show, we headed over to the gingerbread house at the American Pavillion, and got some hot chocolate and some gingerbread cookies! Colin expressed his fear of seeing the fireworks again, so we decided not to watch IllumiNations and just head back to the hotel. There was a bus waiting at the stop, so we were back at AKL in no time. Both kids were still awake, so they played with their new Legos until almost 11. So much for an early night! Coming Up Next……….Breakfast with a Princess

Re: The \"Unexpected Excuse for a Holiday Trip\" Trip - Pre-trip 12/5 Great update!! I remember when DS was really into Power Rangers. I'm not sure what they sing now, but every Saturday morning we would hear the theme song start, "GO-GO Power Rangers..Mighty Morphine Power Rangers..."

Re: The \"Unexpected Excuse for a Holiday Trip\" Trip - Pre-trip 12/5 Great update, Marnie! I still can't believe that the Power Rangers are still around, and so popular! Mike and I LOVED them when the first came out We also loved the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground back on our first trip in 2001, it was our favorite part of the vacation! I'm glad Alexa and Colin like it, too!
