We got back on Sunday from our first cruise land/sea vacation. The package deal was nice, however I think doing both land and sea was too much, especially when one child has autism.
We were picked up by Sunray Transportation 945am at the Polynesian. We had a 15min delay along the way, DD5 got sick. She was fine after that. We arrived to port at 1130am, got boarding #5. We were on the ship by 1215 and went for the food and then the pool. We noticed they really seemed to push the wine package, we are not wine drinkers. After awhile in the Mickey Pool, we checked into our room 6556, which was exactly midship by the elevators..nice room. We checked out the Oceaneer
Club then back for the safety drill. We booked awhile back Palo at 7pm for the first night. Our rotation was AP,PC and Tritons. The Dining room mgr was able to push our
Palo ressies so we could enjoy the AP show. Palo was VERY nice and the kids loved the
kids club. It took me a day to relax and know the kids were ok. Just a mom thing I guess. We did get off in Nassau, to say the least we were less then impressed. Next time we do an excursion thru Disney or none at all. We were at the pools and the kids club. When it says NO JUMPING, it means no jumping. There were kids jumping in the family pool and some people including us asked them not too and most of the parents were not there and the kids didn't care. So we left. PC was pirate night, the kids ate in the club and we were on our own. DH and I did see the Golden Mickey's. We missed the pirate party, it was too late for our DDs 5&6, that is the only complaint I had. At 10am we did the Stingray Adventure, except DD5...we loved it! Then we hit the beach, lunch and the kids club and bar. DH and I went into the snokel lagoon, but really wasn't worth it..not much too see. Oh, but we did find the Mickey statue. The girls did the D sea U graduation, which was really cute :-) then we had dinner at Triton's. After we put the girls in the club while we watched Disney Dreams...that was our favorite. We ordered cookies and milk for the girls before bed. We didn't like waking up at 6am, but other then that we enjoyed the cruise more then Disney World. I have pics to post but don't have time right now, hopefully soon.
