Our Magical Trip updated with day2

I know most of you did see my pre-trip report about my family. Well things seemed to be going down hill just before our trip. A couple of days before my DH (Darin) found out he has Cancer. He has skin cancer. They believe they got it all but we will have to watch things. So we got the ok to still travel and we are off.

So the night before come around and we play our last tee ball game before the big trip. We get home around 8pm and plan to give the kids a bath and to bed. Since we had to leave at 3:30am for the airport. Well at 8pm the limo company calls and says they will not be able to take us to the airport. And we should find another way. I give here a few choice words at this time and then start calling around. We did find another Limo company that would not rack us over the coals with the rate. So with that set again...We are fanilly in bed at 10pm. but the kids are still playing. They fall a sleep about 11pm.

So the 1st four days from May 9th to May 12th we spent a WDW. It was our 1st time there as a family. The kids loved it. The parents get strong arms from having kids in them all the time. I have posted a couple of photos of that . so you can all see the fun we had. One thing I have to tell you. With this being the year of a million dreams My boys we picked out of all the kids that night (may 10th) to be kids of the day at chef Mickey. They got to break the rope and Mickey took them to their seats and they signed Mickey's Autograph book and they took alot of photos. It was really cool. They even got a Cert. saying they were kids of the day. We felt very lucky and special that day.

Day 1
So after a few days at Disney we got to go to port. We left our hotel around Noon. But due to some people nt being ready on time. We did not get to the ship until almost 3 in the afternoon. One good thing is we did check in at the hotel so we could just walk right on the boat. No real line at that point.

We were in heaven with how nice the ship was. As this was our 1st ever cruise we had no idea. It was wonderful. We spent day one eating and the drill then made it to the sail away party just in time. It was already in full swing when we got there. I love the sound of the horn and seeing everybody on deck almost at once. I was lost for words. Our room was great along with the staff. We missed lunch but they showed us where we could get food. But at this point we really could not eat anything becasue we got the 5:30 dinner time. We wanted to make sure we could eat then. So the horn goes off and we wanted towatch us pull out. So we are looking around having a great time and then we look down and see it is 5:15. We still have to change. So we made a run ok more like a mad dash to the room did a superman change and off to dinner. We were 10 mins late. They said not to worry alot of people where running late that night. It is so hard to watch the time when you are having fun.

We had wonderful meal. I can not remember what we had. But I can tell you our plates where clean. I made the boys dress up because of it being mothers day. We met all our wait staff they too were great. I have to give a big star to Arnold our head waiter. He was wonderful. We had so much fun with him. We did not see the show that night due to just being out of steam. So we called it a night after some wolking around and watching the kids play in the club. It was a great 1st and and we were looking forward to day two.

Love the photos, especially the last one! Your one son's expression is one I encountered often with my youngest, especially about dressing up or smiling for a picture! Your boys are precious!

Day 2
We got up early and got to see us come into port. I was a wonderful site. I loved seeing it. We did not book any day trips since the boys are so young and have fears. So 9 am comes around and we are off the boat and walking the shops. We had a great couple of hours until break down time. Spencer was hot and screaming Zachary said his legs were not working any more and was hot. He even told he was dieing. So we said lets head back there was no reason for us all to get stressed out over it. So we went back to the ship and hit the pool. It was wonderful. Zachary loved the water slide and Spencer like walking around it the pools. I must say I did enjoy laying in the sun. We had a blast at the pool and it was almost empty. Which was so nice. We then had to head back to the room to get out of the sun. They boys fell asleep. and We took a nap too. Then off to Dinner. The food was great and we had a wonderful time. The kids got more Autographs and photos. I love how nice everyone was. We would have the best talks with other moms and dads waiting in line. After the autographs we headed to see the show of the night. It was wonderful. We then put the kids in the clubs for the night. And mom and dad hit the stores. We like to shop with out them. We spend less that way. Well we got the kids and headed out to bed.
On a small note we went to follow the Rt66 carpet. And sure enough we found our hometown. Elgin is only 2 mins from where we live and I grew up in Elgin. It is a small world after all.

Day 3
I know I have been off for a few days. But hey we have been painting and it was my Birthday on Sunday. So Back to our trip. We wer coming into port on castaway Cay and could not get over the veiw. It was wonderful. The Pirate ship was just well blew my mind on the detail. A not miss see it as you are coming in. My boys loved it. I would have to start this out with our laugh for the moring. So we went to Breakfest and we loved eating outside on the deck. And yes it was windy this moring. But we found a safe seat. and had a wonderful breakfest. This one lady came out and sat right up by the railing. Right in line of the wind. It lifted up her tray and threw her coffee up in the air. I think she really needed it she was not happy. A very helpful DCL staff came over to help her and she just would not have it. He took her cup and cleaned up the table. She asked what he was going to do about her clothes. She said well I can not help with that you just have to change I guess you can wash them or send them out. She walk off in a foul mood saying he should have taken care of that. Well we had a laugh wondering if she wanted help changing or what. Well we were 1st in line again to get off the ship and 1st on the beach. We got our seats and then walked back to meet Jack Sparrow. He was grand. The boys just loved it and he even talked and acted like the real thing. We love the beach. It was so clean. The boys have never seen the beach or been in the ocean. It took them no time at all to warm up to it. They were running around all day. Spencer even took a nap on the beach. Ouur one close call was in the family beach in the water. We came upon a stingray. Yes a wild one. the life guard told everyone to back off and that it was wild. They got it to swim out and they said there must be a hole in the netting. That they would have to find it a repair before the next ship came in. They were wonderful about it. So we got our bucket of cold ones and our little guy asked his brother to cover him with sand. So I helped out. It was great fun. We even got a little time to lay and rest. I would say to all of you 1st timers get to the beach early to get those beach chairs. They went fast. We did get our pick of any chair we wanted. We had a wonderful day on the beach and cannot wait to return here. But with Spencer a sleep we went back to the boat. Where it was Pirate night and the boys had to get ready. We had great fun the Pirate praty was awsome. The boys were Jack and hool and boy did people want to take their photo. They loved the fact people where stoping and asking them for their photo. And on top of it they told the staff they where here to take over the ship and when they laughed my oldest one said I am not kidding. I just wanted to roll with that one. Well after a long day we went to our room for a good night sleep I will post some photos when I get them loaded into the computer.
