| Hi... Just got off the Wonder after a 4 nite cruise 4/23-4/27...will describe our experience another time. After visiting the stores onboard each day searching for her perfect gift, my daughter chose a Mickey "snow" globe for her take home gift. We decided to put it in our carry-on bag for safe keeping! Well...YOU CAN'T TAKE SNOW GLOBES THROUGH SECURITY AT THE AIRPORT!!! The rude guard just took it and threw it in their pile of junk and told us to keep moving. I wish we would have known, or that someone onboard told us...its nobody's fault but ourown. Anyway, does anyone have any idea how I can buy another replacement one? Apparently the globe is only available onboard. Thanks...alot of tears will dry up once I get another! (mostly mine!!) _______ Mike |

| That is terrible how the TSA handled the situation. Last January while going through security, the lady in front of us had a snow globe and the TSA agent told her that she can take it go and go back to check it with luggage. I think that is what she did. At least I hope she had time to go back to the check in counter. And I think there were signs posted before you got up to security about the snow globes not being allowed. Hope you dd gets another one.

| Help here! On our Mexican Riviera Cruise in 2006, I bought my mom a mug that broke on the way home - well-packed, but just broke! I called Disney Cruise Lines and they directed me to another number and they sent me a replacement mug, when I gave them a description of what happened, free of charge!!! (I offered to pay, but they ignored me! Unfortunately, I don't still have the number, but just call DCL, and as always, they'll help you out no problem!!! Good luck! |

| Oh I'm sorry I didn't get that post of yours...It would have been great if you could have gotten a Mickie Globe for us. I just received this from the Cruise line: " Dear Michael: Thank you for your e-mail. I was very sorry to learn about your confiscated snow globe. We care very much about making guests aware of this airline policy, and we have signs posted on all of the shelves with snow globes indicating that the liquids exceed the allotted amount for carry-ons. I truly regret any confusion. Unfortunately, Disney Cruise Line merchandise may only be sold onboard the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, or at Disney's Castaway Cay and can not be imported for sale in the United States. However, select Disney Cruise Line merchandise items are available through the Walt Disney World Mail Order Department. They may be reached at 407-363-6200. You may also be interested in visiting Disney.com | Shopping | Home in order to find a comparable alternative. I hope this information proves helpful. Again, I truly regret any disappointment and hope these concerns will not affect your regard for Disney. There is magic in the Disney name, and we hope to have the chance to sail with you again one day soon. Sincerely, Joel Guest Communications Disney Cruise Line" Is there anyone else willing to get a Mickie Snow Globe for me I'll pay a "convenience fee and/or shipping as well? Thanks..Mike mikul00@gmail.com |
