| Remember in school, after you would come back from vacation how you had to get up and talk about (even worse write about) "What I did on my summer vacation"... well it has happened to me now!! Some of my colleagues at work want to know more about the Panama Canal trip and what I learned about the canal and asked me to do what we call "a lunch and learn" - ok no big deal - we all know I can talk (Irish blood - blarney stone - talking is not my problem - it's usually knowing when to shut up)... well - this is getting out of hand - now about 5 people in our regional office in Atlanta want to "listen in" as well - which means I have to complete my power point this weekend (what I have been working on each night of the last two until after midnight - it's almost midnight now) so that I can upload the power point file, as well as the 4 video clips so that they can download it all and follow along.... Hmmm, Wonder if I can write off the one day of the cruise we passed through the canal on my taxes as an unreimbursed work expense??? Total cost of cruise (transit, etc not fun stuff like spa) for Lesley and I - $7,748... divided by 2 = $3,874/15 nights = $258....HMMMM - wonder if I can make that fly - better yet - can I get reimbursed by the Corps? (HIGHLY unlikely!). Any of you tax folks (Tiff) want to tell me if this is a REALLY bad idea? Ha Ha - not even willing to risk it! ![]()

| Well... I'm not a tax guy (not even close!), but... if you were a Senator or a Representative... do you think they would find a deduction or Government expense in there somewhere?? One of those "fact finding missions"... hey! You did find some facts! And... while snorkeling, didn't you find some misinformation being passed along?? Your bosses may need to know about that! Maybe you could deduct two days!

| Day 2 – MK and more EPCOT I started my morning trying to put the couch back together – and had to read the instructions again!!! Then, after everyone was dressed, etc – we headed down to the Boardwalk bakery to get some breakfast. They should rename that place the bakery closet – not the place to be if you are claustrophobic!! Lesley and I went in while Alice held the table – which we thought was a grand idea – till a HUGE line of people showed up – so Alice called Lesley with her order and Lesley delivered. I had the bacon and egg sandwich on croissant – but since I really don’t eat bread – ate the bacon and the egg and cheese from inside the croissant… I also had yogurt. If I remember Lesley and Alice both had the same sandwich as well. Lesley also told us all about her day on the Fort Wilderness Segway tour - which sounds way cool (added to the "to do" list for future trips) while we ate. I am sure she will tell you all about it in her report. Not too long after breakfast, it was time for Alice to head back to Boca Raton, and for us to head to the Magic Kingdom for the morning. After we got Alice's car and bags loaded into the car - we saw the MK bus loading at the bus stop - and headed in that direction - we made it without incident and after stops at the Swan and Dolphin - we were on the way to MK! Tonight was a Princess and Pirate party night - but we had decided we would not be partake of the partying - : we had other things we wanted to focus on - but I did get some photos of the topiaries - Right upon entering – I saw Jiminy Crickett – now I Jiminy – I use him as a teaching tool in my classes and love that he has become a much more common character to see out in the parks!! We stood in line for J and took a few photos while we waited – like Lady and Tramps’ paw prints in front of Tony’s (which somehow I have managed to miss on all previous 36 trips to WDW – see who says you can’t find new things to enjoy?).Finally it was our turn with the world’s most famous cricket – After our time with JC – we headed up Main Street – stopped and took some photopass pics and pics with our own cameras. Please notice in all of these photos that lesley has the common sense to wear her sunglasses on her eyes - I use mine as a hair accessory and squint in all my photos!!! I also saw a few new things I’ve never noticed before – like this door window. If I remember correctly - we had a little time and decided to call Disney dining and see if we could get a table for two at the Plaza for lunch. I called and we scored a table for 120 (I think) - then we headed off to do some rides before we had to be back for lunch. We headed to get Fast Passes for Space Mountain, and then walked over to Buzz – where for the first time EVER I got 999,999 (See I have proof) – of course, it did not hurt me in the least that we stopped in the volcano room for a bit and I happened to be shooting at the volcano at the time and just kept shooting, and shooting and shooting!! Well I better not get too used to it – it will never happen again : - However it does mean that I am a Galactic Hero...After beating Zurg – we headed to SM and rode the left (?) side with me in the back – very last seat back – OY talk about a ROUGH ride – I usually sit in the front of the car when I can in SM – and the back is way rougher – ugh. I actually didn’t enjoy the ride since my back was hurting so much. I will stay in the front from now on thank you! After Space – we headed for a nice leisurely tour around Tomorrowland on the TTA, I really like this ride – it is so nice to have a place to just sit and relax for 20 minutes… And then we decided we needed to start heading toward the front of the park and lunch. We originally thought we could walk through the castle – but they have it closed for the show now – so we went and looked at the murals (I love the artisanship that went into these!) and came across Cindy’s step sisters and mom… they were a hoot – but the line was a MILE long and we didn’t have the time (or so we thought) to stop and wait to meet them. I think we also went into Tink’s treasures for a bit too – but I didn’t buy anything or take photos – so I am not sure. We hopped into Sir Mickey’s for a moment – the details here of the giant, the beanstalk, etc are just fabulous – and so easy to overlook if you are moving at what some of my friends refer to as “Terri Speed”. We left the castle area and headed down toward the Plaza passing the Cinderella wishing well. Someone had left an apple on the well (wrong movie people) and we stopped to look at the details – I’ve never noticed the cat and mice at the bottom before. After walking around, we made it over to the Plaza, checked in and began our wait…. Next installment – the longest wait for lunch!!

| Neat photos, Terri! I had never noticed the cat and mice on the well, either! Something new to look for in December...as well as the heart with the paw prints in front of Tonys!
