Hi everyone!!!

After all the years of being on Passporter I am FINALLY going to do a trip report. Well I guess you can say a pre-trip report first. So here goes:

Travel Party: Me (29) and DH (32) We are both HUGE Disney fanatics. This is the 3rd cruise/Disney cruise for each of us. We live in Orlando, FL, about 15 minutes away from Disney World. My DH is a manager at the Disney call center. He LOVES it. We have been avid Disney travelers since our first trip in 2002. Next year will be Disneyland. YEAH!!!

Journey: 4 night double dip Castaway Cay cruise on the Disney Wonder. We will be parking our car at the port.

Our Room: We booked a Navigator's Verandah room #7120.

Special Plans: None really. Since my DH and I don't get to see each other often it will be great to spend time together. My DH and I work different hours and have different days off. We will be going to Palo for the first time. We are both very excited about this. My main special plan is to relax and enjoy our time together.

My DH and I are having some health issues these days which might make activities hard to do. My DH is having MAJOR issues with his lower back and is on pain killers and muscle relaxers. He had an MRI done on Friday to see what it is causing all his pain. He's having a hard time sitting down and walking. He's good when he's laying down or standing. He's had issues for as long as I've known him and that's been 8 years. So hopefully after his MRI results come in the doctor can do something to fix him up a bit. I am having issues also. No one seems to know what is causing them though. I'm having major pains in my right side that go into my back. It makes it VERY hard to walk, sit, stand and do anything else. It's almost always constant pain too. I'm going in for more tests tomorrow for it. I hope some doctor can tell us what's wrong with us. Okay so now on to our itinerary:

5/18~ Our plans right now are to leave home between 11-11:30 to drive to the port. Depending on when we leave home we will arrive between 12-12;30. We will be leaving our car in the parking lot at the port for the 4 days we will be cruising. We will make our way to the Castaway Cay check in line. After we board the ship we plan on going to eat some lunch at Parrot Cay. After lunch we hopefully will be heading to our room. Hopefully we will be able to unpack something when we get to our room. We will then have to do the boat drill......then we get to the good stuff. The sale away celebration!!!!!! I can't wait to hear the horn sound off when it's time to leave.

We are assuming that we will have the 8:30 dinner time and the same dining rotation as the last 2 cruises we went on. Which is PTTA. For those of you who don't know what that means it's: Parrot Cay, Triton's, Triton's and Animator's Palate. If that's the case then we will be dining at Parrot Cay tonight.

Right now I can't think of any plans we would have after dinner. We will probably be going to bed early since I'm sure it will have been a long, happy day.


5/19~ Today will be our first stop at Castaway Cay. I'm sure we will be up and out early. We will probably order breakfast from room service like we did last time so we can get ready and get off the ship and enjoy our day on the beautiful beach.

When we get off the ship we will be stopping to pick up our snorkeling stuff (we did the 2 day rental for the snorkel equipment, bike and floats). So then a snorkeling we will go. After our snorkeling I am sure we will make our way over to SerenityBay to relax. This is what I can't wait for. I can't wait to go sit and relax on the beach or in a hammock on the beach.

After a long day of beach fun, relaxing and just being together it will eventually time to head back to the ship. I'm sure there will be some cleaning up and showering when we get back on board. I don't know what we will do when we are doing showering. Probably go see the show in the Walt Disney theater then go to dinner. So will end another day with Disney at sea.


5/20~ Nassau day. We will not be venturing off the ship today. We’ve been to Nassau and aren’t very fond of it so we decided not to visit it. Instead we are going to do even more relaxing..sleeping later…relaxing…..maybe catch a movie in the Walt Disney Theater. Today is the day I plan on going to Triton’s for breakfast since my DH promised last time we could go there for breakfast and we didn’t go. So I’m sure after that we might wander around the ship, relax by the pool, drink topical drinks with umbrellas in them and relax some more. I’m sure somewhere in there we will do lunch.

I’m sure sometime before the nights entertainment we will shower again. I’m sure we will go watch the show tonight too. After that there will be dinner. I don’t know what else we will do tonight….maybe visit a club or something. Then we will go to bed. And so will end yet another day at sea with Disney.


5/21~ 2nd Castaway Cay day. So I’m thinking we will do whatever we didn’t do the previous day here. Maybe snorkel again and I’m guessing more lying on the beach.

After all that fun again we will head back to the ship, sadly, and get cleaned up for Palo. Our reservation is for 7:30. We are VERY EXCITED about this. I don’t know what will happen before or after dinner. I’m sure it will be fun though.

So will end our last day at sea and we will sadly return to the port. Then the fun happens,

5/22~ When we get up I’m sure we will be doing breakfast at Animator’s Palate like during our previous cruises. After we finally get off the ship we will get our car and head home. I plan this to be very depressing. At least when we get home I’ll get to see my baby kitty Roses Marie. I’m sure I will have missed her so much. When we get home I sure there will be plenty of laundry to do also.

We are sailing on the 4 night Double Dip the Sunday after you! Your plans look great and I will be anxious to hear about your trip when you get back (hopefully you can check in before we leave home on the 24th)!

We're getting excited as well! We'll be on the same cruise -- Rooms 7528 & 7530.

Our 3 teenage kids have been before; their grandparents took them on a Disney Cruise for Christmas one year. (But they didn't invite us?! Can you believe it?! *grin* Actually it was a great time for them to build their relationship.) My wife and I have been on a cruise with Celebrity -- actually, we were there as reporters and published a review of the cruise in Romantic Destinations magazine. But we're finally getting to share the Disney Cruise together, and I'm really excited!

It's a special trip for several reasons. Sadly, my mother passed away just a couple of months ago. My folks had planned to take an Alaskan cruise sometime this summer, and my dad decided that he wanted to share his vacation with us now. He knew how much they enjoyed the Disney trip with the kids (we also did a 13-day Disneyworld adventure together with all of us a couple of years ago), and thought my mom would have wanted us to do this together.

I'm now counting the days, setting aside stuff I want to pack, etc. Here's hoping that the weather is spectacular! I'm ready for some serious beach time! (Just look for the great white whale that washed up on Castaway Cay... it's probably me... *smirk*)
