How fun that you were able to update while still on board. I was too skeered of the per minute charges But the few times I logged on to send a quick email the connection was very fast in our stateroom. Thanks for sharing all your great memories and pics.

Great wrap-up, Laurie! Thanks for the "good and bad" comparison. Since we are waiting (impatiently!) to start our first cruise in October, this type of insight is invaluable to us, as I'm sure you know. For instance, I had not heard that about the breakfast and lunch sit-downs. I think I would be more like you, and would rather enjoy the solitude in the morning. I envision room service and our veranda for breakfast most mornings, but, never having "been there", I don't really know . Your TR has given me a better view of the "big picture" of cruising, and I must say, I still can't wait for October 18th... except that then I realize that October 25th will come too soon!!!

Well, I guess that's just life! Great things come around once in a while, and the best we can hope for is to be able to keep the memories alive as long as possible! This forum helps in that respect by allowing us to share these experiences with many other interested people!
Thank You, Laurie

You're welcome! As you can tell, for me the good things WAY outweigh any bad things. I don't mind at all if I'm seated with folks I know, but "nice-to-meet-you" small-talk first thing in the morning isn't what I'm in the mood for. Room-service on the veranda is a very nice option. And early in the mornings Topsiders is very peaceful. I liked that you could get eggs-to-order instead of just steam-table scrambled, and the fresh fruit was beautiful. You'll have a great time. My first cruise was a 3-day mid-October and the weather was perfect.
