| Disney Wonder 12/14-18/08 (pre-trip) HI Everyone! We are finally back from our 12 day vacation and I thought I would share the experience. Our planning started in April when we were looking for a way to get 11 family members together for Christmas. DH & I are in Connecticut along with our Son #1, Daughter-in-law and Grandson(19). Son #2, wife and daughter (4)are in Chicago and 2 Grandaughters (11& 7) in Myrtle Beach and son #3 in Baltimore. Son #1 was leaving for Kuwait and would have 2 week R & R in December so we were using that for our planning. After considerable online and library research, we all decided the DCL was what we wanted. A WDW vacation would not be as exciting because of the difference in ages. At this same time I discovered Passporters and bought 4 copies so we would all have the same info. Best buy we could have made. We used Sam's Club Travel to book out trip and our agent, Sandy, was the best. Insuremytrip took care of our group insurance and several needed to aquire passports for the trip. We all agreed to get to Port Canaveral the day before, it would be December after all. We booked rooms at Radisson at the Port and air fare was booked by individual families seperately from DCL. DH and I will be driving from CT to Baltimore to pick up son #3, on to Myrtle Beach to pick up DGD's. We then would be renting a van to get us all to Florida, meet the others at the airport and travel to the hotel. I started a monthly newsletter to keep everyone informed to the progress and pass on any hints or info from Passporters. It seemed a very long time until December! More to follow.
