| looking for 7day- trip reports with little kids I have tried searching the Cruise Reports thread, and have gone thru pages of them..... but many of the titles don't give me the info I need so I'm hoping for some help! I would LOVE To read some Cruise Reports from people who have cruised with little kids (mine will be 5 and 1 for our upcoming cruise). If you have a TR posted and travelled with little ones, please reply to this thread with the link to your TR? Thanks so much!!!!

| Unfortunatetly, I can't seem to convince my husband that our 15month old will be okay in Flounder's for just a few hours... but we've got friends travelling with us and grandparents, so hopefully we can still snag a few hours on our own with their help!

| Traveling with kids on the cruise if very interesting - as you may never see them! I have one daughter and we have been on three disney cruises. The first one when she turned 6 and our fourth one will be this June. I think you can assure your husband that a baby will be quite happy in the nursery. They have a TV and other kids and wonderful people to care for them. You get a pager in case you are needed and the room is really cute. With my daughter, we never saw her exept for dinner and the few minutes after she woke up, just before she said "Can I go now?". I am surprised we could get her to brush her teeth. She would have stayed all night if we let her. The first time we went she was 6 and afraid to sleep on the pull down bed - with four of us in the room and my husband too big to sleep on the top bunk, my mother (68) splept there. She did fine except during the night the ladder fell and she waited until we woke up to ask for help. It was too funny. The second time around my daughter loved sleeping in the top and now we book two rooms - my husband and I in one and my daughter and mother in the second. I highly recommend Palo's. I thought the brunch was incredible. I did not enjoy the dinner as much, but then I don't enjoy wine and I think it is geared towards wine drinkers.

| Just back We just came back from a 7-nighter on Magic, which includes our 5yr old son and 10mo old daughter. We traveled with friends who have a 7yr old son. Contrary to all other kids, my son did not like Oceaneer club and we struggled to send him there for our Palo dinner and brunch seatings. Daughter was not too happy with Flounders either, but managed. Bring a stroller, preferably one with a small pouch underneath to carry stuff. We didn't need it, but have some Bonine, Jr. for your 5-yr old. Between the pools, food and ports your kids will be kept busy. Note that 1-yr old will not be able to enjoy the Mickey pool, but rather must stay in the "Splash Zone" area. We learned this much to our disappointment, since she has more fun in a bathtub than in the limited water Splash Zone. Verandahs are perfectly safe for the little ones -- glass barrier in front of sturdy railing. Request pack n play well in advance. Ours was waiting in the room when we checked-in. Depending on room, there is a drop-down bunk bed for your 5-yr old (with railing) or turn the couch over for a single bed. Let me know if any questions or want further info. |

| That's why I don't mind that they decided to tag along on this trip. There may be nights where we (or they) take both, especially if they think the top bunk is really cool, but otherwise the plan is for us to alternate. We've been doing this since DD was a kid on our DLR trips, so for those trips, we'd have every other night to ourselves. Of course, that changed when we had another, but it's all good. I also anticipate them babysitting if DH and I want to do things later at night (like Karaoke - why the heck is it so late at night?!?!).

| I knew that Jill (Jillybean) had gone on a couple of cruises - one when Mary Devall was small and one with the addition of Maddie as an infant. They were only 4 day cruises, as opposed to 7. They are from 2006 and the boards have moved a few times since then, so there are some img codes and stuff you will have to 'read through', but I think they'll be able to help you gain some perspective as to how they handled things. Hope this helps!

| Just got back yesterday from a 4 night. I have a 4 year old who was happy as a clam the entire cruise whether the Oceaneers club or w/ us. I saw many people w/ babies who also looked happy and relaxed. Hope it works for you!
