| I just found your TR now. I should be doing the grocery shopping, but sat and read straight through instead! I enjoyed reading about your girls. You know my oldest has Aspergers and youngest is kind of the caretaker/protector many times too, so I was anxious to read how the trip went. I'm not sure I would be brave enough to cruise without DH though! We often play tag team when times get tough. It sounds like Katie did well on the trip. All of your preplanning and organization to help her be more familar with the routine really paid off. I love that you included all that information in your TR. If you don't have a child with special needs you truely can't imagine all the extra steps that need to be taken to try to have things flow smoothly. It sounds like Katie is really learning to gauge when she's starting to get overloaded. The DVD player works very well. My son pulls out his DS. Most of our informal snapshots on the cruise show him playing it! Sounds like Emily is really enjoying the trip, too. My youngest loved the clubs and being able to do his own thing, something he doesn't get much of a chance to do at home. I love seeing all your pictures. When things settle down and you get a chance to work on the scrapbooks, I hope you post some layouts in the scrapbook section! You've got so many wonderful pictures to work with! I didn't know you were moving. Hope all is going well for you.

| Hello, I am back!! After the show and character meetings, we had some extra time before our dinner seating, so we headed out on the deck to take some photos. The sun was beginning to set and it was absolutely beautiful outside. ![]() ![]() ![]() I love this one of Katie- and she didnt realize that on the other side of the window, she was entertaining quite a few of our fellow passengers.. ![]() We headed back in to wait in line for dinner, and in the hallway it was really, really hot. So hot, that I actually debated going to the back of the line where it was cooler. About 5 mintues later, the doors were opened. I could tell by the time we got our drinks Katie was not going to last long- so I flagged down our server and told them to expedite the girls' meals. Emily was fascinated with the room but Katie had no interest in it- I think she was just done and began to melt down. Luckily, the food came quickly for them and my main entree of roasted chicken wasn't far behind. Here are a few of the pics I got- but there aren't many: ![]() ![]() Pizza yet again! ![]() Unfortunately, we didn't make it to the end but Emily actually didn't seem to care as she was more interested in the Pirate Party and we both knew if Katie didn't find quiet to calm herself, our chances of being able to go were slim to none- so we decided to leave, go back to the room and let her have down time before attempting to go up for the Pirates Deck party. It was on the way to the room, I promised Emily to return again to the Disney Wonder so we could finish what we missed at Animator's- perhaps by ourselves, perhaps with Nana as well. She took it all in stride as she's lived with autism for awhile and is used to having to be flexible, but I still felt very bad for her. I was determined to get Katie calmed down and for all of us to make it to the Deck Party. It wasn't the best evening at that point but it was far from over- and there was plenty of time to still make it a success. Optmism always, even in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean!!
