| (!@#$%^&*, dang computers! Always doing things on their own!!  )I like the one of Katie watching the sunset over the ocean best. But Miss Em's big smile at dinner is just precious! Glad your back!!

| Friday, May 8, 2009 Katie was a mess by the time we finally got her in the room. However, there again, thanks to Glen was another welcoming set up for us this evening.  Emily was worried but I told her to change her clothes if she wanted and to get ready to go back up to Deck 9 for the party. I would handle Katie and it was my job to worry about it. That seemed to make her feel better. While Emily was changing, I showed Katie the navigator and reminded her she had highlighted the Pirates in the Caribbean Deck Party- and that she either had better calm down or she would be staying in the room and missing fireworks. It took about 15 minutes but it worked. She was calm enough for us to go up there and try it. Emily was ecstatic we were going and no problem ham-ing it up for me on the way there..  By the time we made it up to Deck 9, it was packed and with Katie already in a very fragile mindset, I figured the less crowds the better. Unfortunately, all the spots along the railings were full too- but we found a spot behind some kids smaller than Emily so they could at least see what was going on. Emily had a great time with all the the dancing and Katie seeing the characters immediately relaxed her enough for the time being. The weather this night was perfect- I mean absolutely perfect- the seas had nary a roll or sway and the temp and breeze was perfect. We took a few dance lessons with Goofy:  And I loved this pirate guy in the front of the picture- he was very funny!  The crowd oohed and aahed when Pirate Mickey swashbuckled in to save us from the bad guys!  And the evening capped off with a spectacular display of fireworks. That is a pretty impressive feat- to be able to do them at sea and be the only cruise line to do so.   We got some ice cream and then headed to Mickey's Mates right before they closed where we picked up a few more souvenirs. We all crawled into bed soon after getting back to the stateroom- although some of us were zonked quicker than others! Good thing, too- tomorrow would be our long awaited morning/day at Castaway Cay!

| Glad the move went well and that you are all settled back at home Sorry that Katie was a bit upset at dinner but glad that some downtime helped calm her down so that you could go and enjoy the party. Emily sounds like the perfect sister, so understanding...glad that she was great about leaving dinner a bit early and she looked like she was having a great time at the party.

| The Amazing, Swashbuckling Miss Em! Great pictures of the Pirate Party! I'm so glad you got to stay through the whole thing and see the fireworks. How did Miss Katie like them? Was she able to enjoy them enough to be excited? I'm sure Emily was oohing and ahhing!
