The nap idea after CC and the pool was great! The heat/sun just sucks out your energy.

Can't wait to hear more of your adventures.

So we all had a lovely, restful nap and thank God I woke up at 3:45- otherwise, we could have easily overslept.

Tonight was formal night and I think all three of us were very excited about wearing our new dresses. Emily and I found hers months ago and we just knew it was perfect for her. Katie also hand picked hers out and had been asking to wear it for weeks.

We took some extra time getting ready this evening and at about 4:45, we heard an announcement from the Captain, telling all that departure from Castaway Cay would be slightly delayed as they were waiting on a medical evacuation.

Goofy was in the atrium this evening and Katie had him highlighted on the navigator so we started down to find our place in line about 5:00, in time for his 5:15 appearance. As we walked through Route 66 and by the portholes around the corner, Emily exclaimed.. "Mom- look! A helicopter!" It was landing right on the dock so we stayed to watch. The Captain was out there, along with the ships doctor or nurse.

Another family looked out an adjacent window and I heard the mother say.. "Could that possibly be the guy that fell?" The other family told me that they were walking behind a family coming back to the ship with a guy who was so inebriated that he fell face first and had no reflexes to break the fall and there were tons of CM's who surrounded him, worried about a head injury. What a shame.. at that point, they brought the guy out- I felt awkward staying any longer so we left.

We were first in line for Goofy and had a few minutes of a wait, so I grabbed a picture of Emily in her finery- once I could stop her from twirling around in her dress.

Emily was first to greet Goofy and I could have burst into tears, he bowed to her and held out his hands to ask her to dance to the piano music being played in the background- which so happened to be When You Wish Upon a Star.

Then it was Katie's turn- and I love this one too.

On the other side, they were doing photos on the staircase, so we hopped over there to have one made. I can tell you it turned out great- if I can get ahold of a scanner I will try to upload it at the end of the report.

From there, we headed to Shutters and bought a few pictures and then on to the early showing of Disney Dreams. We got there right as the door opened and of course, who was waiting for Miss Emily? Dan from India.

He walked with us to the seats and got us our drinks. I was actually sad this would be our last night seeing him and I asked him if he wouldn't mind a picture with Emily. He happily agreed and I love how it turned out.

Most of the pictures I took of Disney Dreams, unfortunately, did not come out. The girls really enjoyed the show. I think one of the best aspects of it is the special effects towards the end- they are so magical and touching. I don't want to spill the beans though and ruin it for anyone else.

Here is one of the few that turned out:

After the show, Dan came over and wished us a happy final evening and we headed over to Treasure Ketch to see Captain John. I had bought a lovely lithograph for only $13 for him to sign. I thought we would have a wait, but we were third in line. Katie got very shy and didn't want to go up, so she waited very patiently off to the side. Captain John was so personable and was interested to hear we hailed from Orlando- and when we discussed that further- we figured out he had a condo less than 5 minutes from our home! He asked Emily lots of questions and they had a lovely chat. This picture is also one of my favorites of the entire trip:

After meeting Captain John, we came across a very personable cheerleader. ??

Coming Up Next: You should have been in movies....

Miss Em looks so beautiful and happy as she rubs elbows with the ship's celebrities. Katie is also beautiful in her dress... I love her eyes, as she glances sideways at Goofy... you caught a special look in that picture, Mom!

So after the meet and greet with Captain John, we come across this spunky, Australian bundle of energy in a cheerleader's uniform. Emily gasped, "Mom, she's dressed up like she's in High School Musical!" Katie looked at us and reported the event. "Mom, go to High School Musical Dance Party" That sounded like a lot of fun for all of us, and we still had time before dinner, so good plan. The cheerleader, Nikki, was very good with both girls and Emily asked to have a picture made with her.

The party was in Studio Sea and not quite started yet, so we stopped by Shutters. The place was mobbed and all those pictures on racks and racks- sometimes that gets me so darn frustrated, organized as they try. Katie immediately found us all in every section, so we went through all of them. Our staircase one was lovely as well as the one from the night before, so we got that as well. I didn't break the bank on photos- I only spent $69 and I think that was darn good. Here's a funny along those lines- on the RCCL cruise Lynn and I went on in December, the cruise director did a Top Ten List of most commonly asked questions by guests before a show one evening. Number 1- How do I know which picture is mine????

After getting our pictures, we went right next door to Studio Sea where the party was just beginning. There were a handful of kids and parents. She immediately got all of us on the floor after talking with the kids and getting them pumped up:

The first thing we leared was All For One. She broke down each of the steps for all of us and then put the music on for us to try it out. Um, Emily and Katie had me beat by a mile but we all had tons of fun. (I was too busy trying to learn to take pics at that point.)

Katie asked to go listen to her iPod and said she was done. I told her to go and she chose a seat close by so I was able to keep a good eye on her and watch Emily too.

I think she taught them the steps to What Time Is It? next and looky who showed up right as they started..

Emily had the absolute time of her life. And she was pretty darn good at the dancing too. I have video of it on my Facebook account and other video clips I took by the way- if you would like to see them, just friend me (Maureen Levy Austin). Was that a plug? Didn't mean to be. Sorry!

Emily was soon tired enough to call it quits and we had about 15 minutes to go before our seating started, so we cooled off a bit with a short walk on deck. It was absolutely beautiful out and the seas very, very calm.

Tonight's dinner at Parrot Cay felt kind of weird because we were so dressed up, but that's the way the rotation fell. On my previous cruise, I did not dine at Parrot Cay because we got Palo for that evening- so it would be a first for me as well.

Coming Up Next: Waahhhh!!
