BONG!! Gotta love the Bong-ster! Wonder if he'll be our driver in October? Oh, and nice port hole! But where's the cover? You know, the cover needed for icebergs or in case of emergency! ![]()

| When we arrived up on Deck 9 for the Sailaway Party, I asked the girls if they wanted to go up to Deck 10 or stay there. Katie took one look at the crowds already assembled and immediately said.. "Deck 10." Emily seemed okay with that and we squeezed into find a spot. As soon as we did, one of the families we met in the Castaway Club line noticed us next to them and offered us all a lei. I thought that was the cutest idea- bring your own party accessories! ![]() So the Sailaway got started- and we met our cruise staff! They were alot of fun to watch- lots of energy and really got us pumped up and ready for our big send off! ![]() Pretty soon, it was time to meet the Big Cheese and crew! ![]() Katie is very much a Disney character girl at heart and I am positive I heard her squealing among all the cheers and screams of delight.. ![]() We were cleared to leave the port and then the countdown began.. this was the part of the cruise we had been waiting so long for especially, and it's just the most amazing sound. 5,4,3,2,1, wah wah wah wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! The ship's horn playing When You Wish Upon A Star is just amazing beyond words. It's all the anticipation, the waiting and the magic rolled up into one tiny signature sound. Of course, the tears came flowing, especially as I looked down and looked at the girls' faces- especially Emily's! The music and good times continued- with songs such as the Cha Cha Slide and YMCA, which is one of Katie's particular favorites: ![]() At this point, I moved over to the side to watch the push off and less than a minute or two later- we were. There were no CM's out at the terminal at all- which really surprised me- but at the last minute, a few of them came out with their Mickey gloves! ![]() As we began to move up the canal, Emily got one last phone call into Daddy- "I'm on the Wonder and we are moving Dad!" Said our goodbyes to Kevan and watched as we exited out towards the Atlantic. Several employees and patrons of the local waterside restaurants also wished us Bon Voyage... ![]() Look out, the Austin girls are finally truly cruising... ![]() Coming Up Next: Never hurts to try it....

| Great updates!! Glad you were able to get your luggage a little sooner. I wouldn't have liked sitting in a damp bathing suit either. Sounds like the sail away party was a success! Looking forward to more

| Great, great updates! Love Emily's smiles. So proud of them at the safety drill. The room looks nice, and I'm glad you got your luggage so soon. The Sailaway Party reminds me of ours and makes me long for our cruise in October. I like your thought about the "When you wish upon a star" ships horn... I agree!

| I love reading other people's stories - just gives me more ideas for our trips! Love the leis and may have to do that (we have a box of them from Oriental Trading Co around somewhere). I've also read about the kids bringing glow necklaces to give out to friends.... You're on your way! Can't wait to see how the girls do now that you're out to sea.
