May the 4th Be With You

I'm hosting a showing of The Force Awakens in the community room of my housing co-op.

I'm not the worlds biggest Star Wars fan, but this is one of my favorite new holidays! Let the pretzel light saberbattles begin!

Anyone else celebrating Star Wars Day?

No. I'm not a Star Wars fan. I know that I'm in the minority, but I just don't like science fiction. Not even a little bit.

I have used that same picture to greet both my children on social media today.
We are Star Wars fans. We are sad that SOLO didn't come out today....which would have been perfect timing.

Not a huge Star Wars fan, but I enjoy the movies. Bought my Solo tickets today and this is how my son celebrated:

I bounded as BB-8 today where I work. (White jeans, orange blouse, gray sweater and a tiny BB-8 bracelet as a clue .) Several of my students "got it" and I think my geek status got elevated a bit--Or not...but I had fun with it, though!

In my house, we celebrate May the 4th be with you but not in a way you would expect - we celebrate typically with dinner out, cake and presents. Of course it's Abby's birthday as well so I guess that explains the why and how we celebrate it . Abby likes the Star Wars movies too so she actually likes the fact she was born on "Star Wars Day"
