Smile A Planned Disney Trip....What are your plans for dinner on the day before you leave?

I was just thinking this morning and what did I do with my other planned Disney trips.

So its the day before you leave for your Disney Vacation....do you cook for dinner? Or do you pick up food? Or do you go out to a restaurant?

Because I plan on cooking tonight....

So Tell me what do you do?

I usually cook dinner...or maybe we eat some leftovers from dinner a previous night, to clean out the fridge.

Usually we're heading up to the airport the night before, as we stay there before our flight, so we have dinner up there. A couple of times we have eaten before we leave though.

Usually we either go out or carry in before taking the dog to the kennel.

We usually eat out or grab something small so there aren't any leftovers.

I run a flow chart before leaving for a trip anywhere
Do I have left overs or items that need to be used up in my fridge Yes that's what we are having No go to next question
Is there something that can be prepared that we will eat all of it in a meal Yes that's what we are having and while things are cooking use the time to finish last minute packing No go to next question
What buffet do we want to go to or some place that would have items that if we bring them home we are willing and able to eat them between 3:30 and 4 am before we leave for the airport to be there by 4:30 am for a 6:30 am flight. Most of the time when we go out it ends up being at a buffet-our favorite is HuHot Mongolian Grill where you go through and pick your meat or fish, noodles type (they will being you rice for the table at no cost), your vegetables, and your sauces and they cook your food on a round grill while you watch the cooks do tricks with the spatulas they use. (For those who are gluten free they have rice noodles and they will completely clean the entire grill not just a section before preparing your food)

I think we usually end up getting pizza. Quick & easy & no mess to clean up.

We normally try to fly out early in the morning, Because the fridge is usually pretty cleaned out by the day before we leave, that evening we drop our dog off at the kennel and eat out for something light. Lately it has been at Bob Evans - breakfast for dinner!

You sound so much like me. We usually have our fridge pretty cleared out. Also, get a first or second flight of a day. And we have a pretty light meal usually deli sandwiches and a side before taking our dog to the kennel. By the time we get back we should be trying to get to sleep but no matter where we travel I am usually too wide awake because I am excited and barely sleep.

I typically eat out as by the time the night before I leave rolls around there's really not much in the house to make a meal out of and I'm not going to buy any groceries at that point and for Disney trips I usually spend the night before I leave at a hotel near the airport so no kitchen facilities.

I want to say it depends - on time, on money, etc. I know there have been quite a few times we've eaten out but I want to say last time we might have eaten in. Since we've been leaving on a Sunday and my typical grocery day is Saturday, the fridge is normally pretty empty just to begin with but we have a standing freezer until in the basement so it's pretty easy to cook something small up (nuggets, pizza, etc) if I don't feel like going out and not have leftovers - and if we do, I make dinner plates and throw them back in the freezer.
